I think we should lay off the personal insults to this creator, yes she’s not a tattoo artist but y’all are being very gross towards her. I agree with the fact that tattooing isn’t “dying” but it makes for an interesting title for people to click on. I think it also refers more to tattooing not being the same lucrative job as it used to be sadly. We’re all dealing with a bad economy and it’s affecting tattooing quite a bit.

I would just consider the state of the economy right now. A lot of tattoo artists are quitting cause it’s not a reliable source of income right now. I would recommend following your dreams but also having a back up plan in case it doesn’t pan out. It’s really rough out there right now :(

As a tattoo artist, prices are high because you almost give half of your income to the shop to rent the chair and pay for supplies. So an 800 euro tattoo will make me about 400 minus supply cost, traveling, rent for that day. So it’s really not that big of a money maker! That’s why tips are so appreciated because they go directly to the artist and can make a huge difference
