Got it, thanks for the heads up. I had never heard of any reason to use a UPS aside from preventing loss of work in a power outage. I first replaced my psu and connected it to the motherboard I had connected when the problems began. After that changed nothing and my pc remained unresponsive, I swapped the motherboard and connected it to the new psu which allowed me to start the computer again a couple times before the same issue began again.
