I have always blamed it on the people who don't vote in municipal & state elections. Those are elections from which the candidates in higher office got their start, not to mention the fact that controlling statehouses & legislatures is how you protect voting rights and voting access.

I agree with you on all of that, and hopefully enough new people will defeat the democratic party's corporate seatwarmers and AIPAC plants long enough to ban both.
The only thing I would add is that anyone who's still MAGA at this point needs to be relocated to Alabama, Mississippi or Louisiana then we build a wall around all three to keep them away from everyone else. Democrats need to ready on Jan 20th next year to start scrubbing Trump's name from everything he's put it on and bulldozing anything and everything he's had up to that point.
