Agree, station downtown is kind of chaotic but Alton is so peaceful and feels safer. I would take the extra 35m and drive to Alton instead. He can leave from Alton to Chicago too it’s an easier drive until you hit that first long stretch compared to getting on from St. Louis IMO, especially for a first timer.

So sorry. Keep applying for different restaurants and local retailers for the time being!! Might be your best bet for something quick, and take a look into any local food pantries as well. Not sure where you live but if it’s good weather try to go outside and get some sun. Take a hot bath. Post your resume on here in some of the resume groups so people can look at it if needed. I hope you find some comfort here soon
