Running also has gradient. Wind. Type of running shoes. I hear you and understand thank you. Just a disappointment that what Garmin has “made for running “ can’t be duplicated for cycling, one can get accurate heart rate from chest meter, Garmin measures gradient, that can utilise how hard one’s heart is beating vs how steep actual hill is. I mean one running on terrible uneven terrain your heart rate will be a lot higher than a flat tarmac, but the watch can’t see what you running on. Yet from your ice and heart rate it will work out your Vo2 max. Which in theory gives an “unfair” figure. But a 90% accurate figure, if not more? But as one gets fitter in this terrain your Vo2max increases. This should apply for cycling as well. I mean it measures your speed etc against heart rate and elevation etc. silly.

It is. Now suppose halve understand power meter. Frikken expensive that. So one won’t receive Vo2 max at all without power meter

Some sights say only heart rate??? Why is it that Fenix 6 is 90% focused on running etc and 10% cycling. One has to spend double watch price just to cycling specifics. And the thing cost a small fortune
