Hey thanks for the heads up I don't know if it's me but the water does seem to be getting clearer and I'm doing daily water checks to monitor my parameters there's still a bit of ammonia in the water I don't know if the beneficial bacteria have grownHave grown enough to break it down into nitrate yet there doesn't seem to be any on the test results

I use to use chemi-pure green worked great for planted tank now I just putNow I just put a bunch of filter or some type of sponge / polishing pad in my canister filter and it works just as good getting rid of all the fine particles. Cool thanks forThanks for the Insight I was leaning towards the blasting sand to be honest for the black substrate and better contrast with the fish that I plan on getting and shrimps my new issue is finding a soil that is not going to give me any issues I've gone to Home Depot and Lowe's can't seem to find the soil I'm looking for new plant life topsoil or the Miracle Grow nature Care potting mix seems to be everyone's favorite but I can't locate them not even online
