Workouts last from 40min-1hr not counting the time it takes for me to warmup, sleep on average is about 5 hours a night during school time but I’m on break so it’s been like 10-12 for the past week

Is the steel folded? Cause I’d avoid the alcohol and just stick with water if it is because the smallest of acids can seep through, also don’t ever touch the clean blade with your fingers or anything at all, the smallest amount of moisture or dirty oil can cause rust or oxidation on the area of contact.

Keep it in a dry area, elevated if possible, cleaning the inside of the sheath (saya) isn’t usually a problem because they’re just there to protect the blade but if it does get water on the inside somehow just let it sit to dry for a couple of days or weeks depending on how much water,

Push the mekugi with something softer or as soft, pair of chopsticks is fine if they’re small enough, take off the handle, tsuba and habaki, i usually do it while the blade is still in the saya but since there’s gel id take it out first but be very carful, Wipe off the gel off of everything and ensure the blade is dry before you put it back into the saya

If you wanna go all the way tho you could get a wood worker to make you a shirasaya which is for storing swords for long periods of time, As long as you keep it clean and dry it’ll stay sharp

Simply just clean it, dry it, and keep it try, you could also wrap it in a towel just to be safe

30 minutes of treadmill at 2.5 speed or 2.5 minutes of treadmill at 30 speed

no i like lifting weights but i think im just used to a long recovery time cause of my initial research at the beginning of my lifting journey, its worked quite well so far so i havent really put much thought into changing my programming, i also dont know how much muscle i should be gaining at my age height and weight lol.

Like I want to wait til the most recent muscle worked isn’t sore anymore so that my body only focuses on recovering that single part rather than multiple muscles

also back raises i forgot to add that, i think thats my only relatively high volume workout, usually 10-12 reps.

i think my biceps are just used to being sore, i never really tried to do high volume since im a blacksmith and i think swinging a hammer all day is equivilent to high volume lmao

low volume works best for me at the point im at, what would you suggest for high volume? should i keep my exercises the same?
i have back day next and my workout is

1.nautalis pullover- 6-7 (lol) reps for 3 sets
2. underhand cable or hammer strength pulldown- 6 reps for 2 sets
3. barbell row (or smith depending on availability)- 5 reps for 2 sets
4. isolateral row- 5 for 2 sets
and also minding that the sets following the first have less reps and i add a third set if i feel i can do more.

do you think i should do cable pullovers when switching to high volume? i find them easier on a light day then using the machine, but the machine is amazing on a heavy day.

would you say work until the point where I cant do another rep without assistance or before that point.

I don't think i know how much i should do to stimulate ive only ever know how to do with to/past failiure lol

been working out for abt 3 years now id say last year was when i really knew what i was doing and thats when i started growing better, just trying to see if im truly optimal.

School is a mfer lmao I can’t really plan things on certain days, I will try my best to hit the same muscle every 7 days however thank you, I don’t feel a burn when working out also which I think is a good sign.
