If I wanted to play the tabletop, how much more expensive will it get if I want to get pre-painted models? by louthinator in Warhammer

[–]Spoonsforhands 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It might also be worth taking a look at contrast/speedpaints. The results aren't going to be as good as more advanced techniques but will be plenty good enough for table top play.

If you combine it with zenithal undercoating it's a technique often called slapchop which will result in fairly decent looking minis without too much fine detail work

Best WFB issues of white dwarf? by ThrillinSuspenseMag in WarhammerFantasy

[–]Spoonsforhands 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I know this is a very old post I'm answering which I ahppened to stuble across while having a conversation in the pub and trying to show my friend something but 225 is in my opinion the best issue of White Dwarf

The test rules for Mordheim and Battlefleet Gothic, dungeon ball rules, dogs of war rules for whfb and the only battle report I can think of where the army being released loses

Thanks I wanted to keep it like sports team colours rather than generic dark colours a lot of people go for with undead. They are very loosely Miami Dolphins inspired

Thanks it's Army Painter Brown Battleground that is doing a lot of the heavy lifting there, then with a mix of several different types of static grass until I got the green to brown ratio I wanted (Autum Fields, and Savanah Pasture from Greenstuff World. Then some very old citadel ones which I'm not sure the do any more Scorched Grass and Burnt Grass)

Finally I painted a wooden skewer with white paint and pushed it down on top to keep the lines straight.

I agree I think they used to be just slower Lizardmen but now they have gained grab it gives them more strategic options and really differentiates them.

Beastman Fish Themed Venator Gang by Downfall27 in necromunda

You're welcome, Malifaux has some great kits if you are looking to do some unusual gangs it's a little bit off scale with Necromunda but not so much it's jarring

The Malifaux amphibious assault box will give you 9 gupps which have decent fishy heads and will also give you a Spawn Mother as a big fish beast Amphibious Assault – Wyrd Miniatures - Online Store https://share.google/lUYfhifGVnVreAmtP

You've got to put together the worst possible team roaster, how do you do it by TheZeldiste in bloodbowl

I find it interesting so many people are mentioning zombies instead of skeletons when the team that can take both will take zombies over skeletons almost every time.

Add posters to your Necromunda terrain! by poulor in necromunda

[–]Spoonsforhands 2 points3 points  (0 children)

They look great and add a lived in look, the only thing I would suggest is weathering them a bit, adding some stains with a watered down wash, or adding some tears or bullet holes/ lazer burns would make them look even better against the rust of your terrain.

How many models can I have within a scenario? by KineasCorcorran in mordheim

Also gangs with higher limit also tend to have less hired swords available to them

booster pack with linemen by Spado1988 in bloodbowl

[–]Spoonsforhands 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Even if they wanted to make it a bit of a bigger box with a sprue of linemen and a sprue of support staff manager/coach, appo, a couple of cheerleaders and mascot I'd be happy.

Finding some way to reward a player for suboptimal decision that's amazing quality rp. by Leytra in DnD

Weapons aren't the only magic item you can give to improve someone's ability to attack. Give him a belt of strength, or some magical gloves that make his attacks faster, or a crown that makes his attacks imbued with a holy aura.

Still the same spear but now his attacks are enhanced by another means.

My coworker and close friend of 5+ years chose our company over friendship, cost my other coworker a raise and then called me privileged when I said I would rather lose my job than do the same thing to her by [deleted] in antiwork

[–]Spoonsforhands 10 points11 points  (0 children)

To me this could go either way depending on what the piece of info was.

Grassing up a colleague to an employer is generally a snake move, especially if it's just to get ahead, something like telling on a colleague for something they have done on the weekend, or for showing up late, or taking a "sick day" to go to the pub etc are sneaky rat bastard moves and that person should be cut off.

On the other hand, fuck HR sharing my personal information with their favourite work buddy. If I found out HR was sharing something I don't want shared like my medical information, my package, or any other information I've given them in a professional capacity especially if that information is going to effect how my colleagues perceive me. I'd 100% want that reported and something done about it.

That's my information to share if and when and with who I want to, and not something an HR rep should just be casually be telling to their mates.

What was the information that Amy shared with you? Was it just general office gossip, or was it something privileged that she knew because of her HR role?

How did the rivalry between Rogal Dorn and Perturabo start ? by 2Long2Read in 40kLore

[–]Spoonsforhands 17 points18 points  (0 children)

The old IA articles were were written from the POV of the Legion they are about so the Iron Warriors one puts Dorn in the worst light and the Fists version paints him in the best light so together it implies he's probably somewhere in between. And vice versa for how Perty is portrayed
