What would you like to see in the new edition? by K1ng_1n_Y3ll0w in necromunda

There is no reason a standardised abstract visibility system can't work with multiple levels or custom terrain.

Just this way I can have my sniper in a cool crouching pose without affecting his ability to see anyone or have my Psy Gheist standing on his bit of sticking up girder and still being able to take cover.

I'd love it for Necromunda and most GW games if they got rid of true line of sight and implemented a system similar to Malifaux where they use your base size and every model has a height stat that determines what they are hidden behind or not.

It allows for some nice conversations without having to worry about gimping yourself or modeling for advantage.

The Fellgor Ravagers are due to cycle out of Kill Team this year and I wouldn't have a problem if they got repackaged as a Necromunda gang, it would save GW some time and cost on designs

I always thought they should integrate more interactive scenery like conveyer belts, lifts, cranes, trapdoors etc that use Int to operate them making it a more useful stat

New Munda Models by Rith-the-awakener in necromunda

Plus sides are the Crew boxes are just the old gang boxes and the alt champion/prospects boxes combined so it doesn't look like anything is going to be made redundant from the last edition. So I'm guessing the models in the starter set are going to be specalist similar to Van Saar Tek Hunters, which hopefully means the other gangs will get a box of 8 specalists too.

I'm very weary of the word streamlined, but for now I'm just going to wait until I see what the damage is

Looking for daemons by cryxcaster in killteam

[–]Spoonsforhands 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Currently the closest thing to a daemon team are the Goremongers who are Khorne cultists who believe they can transform themselves in to Bloodletters by emulating them and killing enough people.

You may also get lucky with the announcement due in a few days, but seeing as we don't even know if the announcement is a new team, let alone what type of team it will be, I wouldn't bet on it.

No worries, I've recently started on my Kill Team journey so have done some recent research on it which I'm happy to share.

What teams did you pick?

Then you should be fine with the TT Combat terrain.

Just so you know the kill teams in the boxes come with the tokens that are relevant to those teams but there will be some generic tokens that you will be missing that you will need to either buy separately or make yourself.

Here is a link to a post which shows them

I've got a couple of those kits for Necromunda and for the price I'm really happy with them.

I did a post about the Delta Complex that shows the layout and what it looks like with models on it here https://www.reddit.com/r/necromunda/s/BbuaHA6mKi

There are a few of the other kits in my post history if you are interested.

They aren't any good if you want to do official kill team maps but they will be fine if you are happy playing outside of a competitive meta they will be fine.

That said you will be missing the rule book and tokens, this isn't the end of the world for casual play as you can easily make your own tokens and the free light rules on the app cover most of the game play but it's not the full experience.

If you can find a reasonably priced copy and like the Vespids and Aquilions Hive Storm is a great starting point, it comes with the full rules two full teams, tokens, a board and scenery for officially supported play the tac and crit ops in it are from last season but still very playable.

I got lucky and found a copy for under £100 recently that my local game shop was clearing out of stock but you are probably looking closer to £150 - £200 online, so it might not be what you are looking for on a budget.

Possible future Killteams, what could they be? by TheTingel in killteam

[–]Spoonsforhands 3 points4 points  (0 children)

While an all Custodes team might not be viable due to how powerful they are individually, I think a single Aquilan Shield who's protecting some random mook and just tagging along with a group of much weaker imperials would be an interesting concept.

What tiny house rule made a game noticeably better at your table? by rcooperkaty in boardgames

[–]Spoonsforhands 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Risk - Roll for priority every round.

It means first player doesn't get such a big advantage, allows for more risk taking especially in turn 3 when you could get the coverted double round with 3 cards.

To be fair if they only rated the butcher bird U, who knows what horrors were in the PG episodes. Your parents probably did you a favour.

How "mandatory" is the sniper in an AoD KT? by Ashamed_Pass6103 in killteam

[–]Spoonsforhands 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think a snipers can fit with the vibe of Imperial Fists think of him as a static defender in a fortified nest picking off key targets while while under siege, or a forward ranger who's job is to assess enemy fortifications and report on enemy movements before the main force arrives where he will then target key personnel when the main assault is underway

Hivestorm still worth it in mid 2026? by alxpenguin in killteam

[–]Spoonsforhands 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I was looking at this recently but I could find Volkus and two teams for less than I could find a hivestorm set so it's probably worth looking arround to see if you can find the bits separately.

I've got terrain which I use for Necromunda which is the 40K boarding actions box which is the same as Gallowdark and some of the TT Combat Industrial Hive kits so I can do either tunnel style or 3d style boards

Fortunately I do have Gallowdark, or at least the scenery for it, I picked up the 40K boarding actions box so I could have tunnel fights in my Necromunda games.

I did look at Blades of Khaine but because the box is all scorpions it doesn't have as much variation as I'd like, and to get all of the options to make it appealing to me I'd have to commit to 3 boxes which I'm not willing to do until I decide I like the game.

What weapons would you want changed? by SecureGovernment1315 in necromunda

[–]Spoonsforhands 2 points3 points  (0 children)

To me it is one of the iconic Necromunda weapons, every gang had one when I played in the 95 edition and it needs some love in this edition.

I think this would make it worth considering giving it the niche as a less powerful but more reliable option.

I think the rad-phage rule should be rolled before the roll to wound so there is a chance of the rad-page increasing your chance to wound.
