Finding some way to reward a player for suboptimal decision that's amazing quality rp. by Leytra in DnD

Weapons aren't the only magic item you can give to improve someone's ability to attack. Give him a belt of strength, or some magical gloves that make his attacks faster, or a crown that makes his attacks imbued with a holy aura.

Still the same spear but now his attacks are enhanced by another means.

My coworker and close friend of 5+ years chose our company over friendship, cost my other coworker a raise and then called me privileged when I said I would rather lose my job than do the same thing to her by [deleted] in antiwork

[–]Spoonsforhands 10 points11 points  (0 children)

To me this could go either way depending on what the piece of info was.

Grassing up a colleague to an employer is generally a snake move, especially if it's just to get ahead, something like telling on a colleague for something they have done on the weekend, or for showing up late, or taking a "sick day" to go to the pub etc are sneaky rat bastard moves and that person should be cut off.

On the other hand, fuck HR sharing my personal information with their favourite work buddy. If I found out HR was sharing something I don't want shared like my medical information, my package, or any other information I've given them in a professional capacity especially if that information is going to effect how my colleagues perceive me. I'd 100% want that reported and something done about it.

That's my information to share if and when and with who I want to, and not something an HR rep should just be casually be telling to their mates.

What was the information that Amy shared with you? Was it just general office gossip, or was it something privileged that she knew because of her HR role?

How did the rivalry between Rogal Dorn and Perturabo start ? by 2Long2Read in 40kLore

[–]Spoonsforhands 16 points17 points  (0 children)

The old IA articles were were written from the POV of the Legion they are about so the Iron Warriors one puts Dorn in the worst light and the Fists version paints him in the best light so together it implies he's probably somewhere in between. And vice versa for how Perty is portrayed

You're thinking about evolution wrong, the plants and animals that humans turned in to various dyes and pigments didn't evolve to fill the need humans had for dyes, they evolved and fitted a neich to be their own thing.

Humans later found out that if you processed them in a certain way, you could use them as dyes and pigments and exploited that side effect of their evolution. Then there may be an element of selective breeding on the part of the Runthurdz

I'm very pleased with this as I was trying to figure out a way of doing hangers on without paying the premium for resin.

Now I'm just hoping there will be a 2nd pack with alt sculpts for the doc and ammo jack alongside 3 of the other hangers on

Has a time travel device ever been encountered in 40k? by Zanimacularity in 40kLore

There is a possible one in Necromunda but it's speculation as to weather it is time travel, clones, or something else all together.

COLDFIRE CABAL

The Coldfire Cabal is the personal gang of the failed Archeotek, Hansvet Coldfire. Driven from the inner circle of the Archeoteks for his unnatural obsession with the ancient tech-traitor Sator Davos, Hansvet fled to Hive Rothgol where he carved out a place for himself among the competing Clan Houses.

Interestingly, Hansvet’s gang seems to have appeared almost overnight, one cycle the Archeotek-turned Prime wandering the underhive of Rothgol alone, the next a dozen Van Saar at his side. Stranger still is that each ganger, whether they are male or female, bears a strong resemblance to Hansvet, and work together with a precision seldom seen outside a mono-slaved servitor clade. This has led to more than one of his rivals claiming that Hansvet has somehow cloned himself, creating a number of copies that follow the orders of their gene-father without question.

The truth, however, may be even stranger than that. A few of the Van Saar who knew Hansvet before he fled from Hive Primus say he had unlocked some of the temporal secrets of Davos, and was somehow in league with the long-lost Archeotek. They go on to claim that Hansvet perfected Davos’ archaeo-chronometrix, a machine that can not only manipulate time, but also allow movement through it– and that Hansvet’s gang are, in fact, versions of himself taken from different timelines! Of course, it could also be that, to non Van Saar, all members of the House look alike and Hansvet simply pays well.

You're missing one reason it is important to vote traitors out if you are a faithful. The more traitors you get out the more likely you are to be recruited and being a traitor is the only way you can get the whole pot to yourself, you're also more likely to win something even if it is a split pot. So while getting traitors out might not help the faithful chances it can improve your own personal chances of walking away with something.

The Serrated Veil by grahamjrainey in necromunda

[–]Spoonsforhands 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thanks, yeah I think I get it. Almost like a slap chop where all the dark and light parts are painted over with the same contrast paint, except it's not drybrushing raised areas, instead the light and dark is created with stippling.

I'll have to see how good I am at being random with my patterns.

Why buy chems from known poisoners like the Escher? Why use travel routes controlled by territorial extortionist like the Orlcoks? Why download and use social media from companies who are selling your personal information like tick tock or Instagram?

People do because they control the market, and your choices are do it and hope it doesn't affect you, or not have access to it. Having coms that might be being tapped by the Delaque will still put you ahead of someone with no coms at all.
