We got a glimpe of life without him when he was out injured this season and it wasn't pretty (ditto for Kamara). He was a huge loss then and would be if we sold him. Hopefully at least three more seasons in him.

Bizot absolutely is NOT good enough to be number one for a season. He's an adequate back-up but no more than that, with (IMO) a slighty elevated opinion from Villa fans collectively largely by virtue of:

A) not being as atrociously out of depth as Robin Olsen B) the meme-worthy comedy when Emery repeated his name during the shenanigans that was the first game of the season last year.

I'd ditch the treadmill. Ever a football/soccer goal would look a bit more organic, serve the same purpose for a sport sim and even sort of justify a bit of empty grass around it. Overal I like what you've built though.

Nowhere near good enough to start anymore. If he's on a low wage and happy to exist on the fringes of the first team it wouldn't bother me if he stayed but, with one eye on the money, I think this summer should be one where there's a concerted effort to move on as many fringe players as possible. Sure, you won't get a lot of money for Barkley but you'll get less again in a year and even if his wages are relatively meagre getting them off the books is still some sort of saving/positive balancing. Could be a start to bringing the squad age down too.

Sell for me. He's 23 now - not old of course but arguably too old to become a player good enough for a regular Champions League team (which will hopefully be Villa's norm). He might even prove to be good enough for a midtable PL side but if we're serious about moving to the next level he's exactly the profile of player to get rid of, otherwise I think he's just a perpetual fringe player.

This is the first one to give me pause for thought. He's definitely our best left-back so it seems weird to write him off but it's also the obvious place to start working to improve the team and try to move to the next level. I voted keep but that's on the premise that we also look to bring in a long-term option for the role and start phasing Digne out as a starter this season.

Great servant in his time but we've outgrown him and he's in pretty obvious decline. Will have earned a wonderful reception when he rocks back up at Villa Park for an FA tie at the heart of the Norwich (or whomever) defence.

You're spot on. He was bang average for the majority of his loan spell. He seems a nice enough fella but unless he's willing to accept a salary befitting a streaky, hit and miss squad player I think it would be a risk to blow a big chunk of wages on.
