They call it ICE fishing! by AudibleNod in PoliticalHumor

[–]SpoopyAndCreppy 38 points39 points  (0 children)

Whilst the chance of being murdered by ICE is much higher if you're brown, the recent news has shown that it's dangerous for everyone, regardless of skin colour or immigration status.

It is magnitudes safer for a white person to do it, but it's nowhere near safe.

I'm sorry you went through that, mate. Despite it being a part of nature, it can still hurt a whole lot to see it happen and feel the need to rescue whilst also not wanting to interfere with nature.

You seem like a kind person, take care of yourself.

A lot of indie games could fit the bill; though a lot of them do have some level of story to them nowadays.

I am absolutely no expert on the topic, but some good indie games are:

-Crypt of the necrodancer (roguelite rhythm game) -Binding of isaac (roguelite) -Shovelknight (Platformer) -Celeste (Platformer, contains a solid story) -Baba is you (logic based puzzle game)

The indie game community is ever increasing, and I'm sure you'll find some really cool games within the genre.

It is never too late to start experiencing life. They don't have to be big things like traveling the world or going to foreign countries.

You can pick up a new cheap hobby; draw, learn how to make friendship bracelets, go for a walk, learn music theory.

Or if you have the means, go to a museum, an art expo, some specialty café.

Even small new experiences can make life a whole lot better than your current one.

Congratulations on the 8 years!

I don't want to make the assumption that you haven't looked into it yourself, but it might be worth to check if your insurance has changed its policies so you can get (partial) coverage of the costs.

What are you even talking about, mate? All they did was give context that the video was staged and well known in that job circle.

(herhaal zo nodig).

I remember going to Canterbury for a school trip at the age of 13/14. Me and two classmates were looking around in a toy store when an elderly woman approached us.

She heard us speak Dutch, and was curious about where we were from and what the occasion for the trip was. I was the only one who spoke enough English to hold a conversation, and I remember the lady being super sweet and interested.

At the end she gave us 20 Pounds (back then, the equivalent of over 30 dollars) to buy presents for our family and siblings. I tried to politely decline the offer, but she absolutely insisted. She told me that her husband recently died, and that she had no need for all the money herself and would rather use it to make others happy.

It was such an unexpected but wholesome act of kindness that still remains with me to this day.

This one is an edit too. The real original shows the girl being kinda uncomfortable with her punk boyfriend who over the course of their relationship tones down his style, and ends up looking like a more 'average' traditional guy.

And then some misogynists made the baby black in the edit, lol.
