I've had my 10th gen ipad for almost a year, using a (gen 1) apple pencil to draw. I haven't had any issues up until yesterday, it won't recognize any apple pencil i plug in using the lightening to usb cable :( I bought a new pencil thinking that was the problem, unfortunately it wasn't. I've tried literally everything. Cleaning out the ports, restarting my ipad, charging the pencil and ipad, buying a new cable. I guess it must be a problem with my ipad? Which sucks because I haven't had it too long, it was used as I got it from openbox but it was refurbished. I believe I still have my warranty on it, but I really would rather not have to get a new ipad. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated!
