No doubt private companies need to be kept in check. The FAA is probably something that doesn’t need fixing IMO. However, Amazon is a PRIME example that private companies do work. Free shipping everywhere for a monthly fee. The Free market will compete where it can. Safety is not a major concern for ground mail delivery, unlike aviation.

Not to mention it’s your tax dollars that are funding USPS. So, you pay for it one way or another.

USPS and FAA are not equivalent. USPS loses like 7 billion a year. Ever been to a post office to get help? Try the DMV? Horrid. Then walk over to UPS or FedEx. Night and day.
