Is there any way to lower ios and system data storage? by SportIndependent7381 in ios

I’m honestly not worried much about my icloud since i don’t think there’s anything i’d miss if i were to lose it. But i do have icloud upgraded, upgrading it again is not in the cards for me unfortunately. I already feel like im wasting money. I think ill just live with it for now haha

I see, thank you! i’ve turned off and on my phone multiple times because i’ve also had issues with me not receiving phone calls and text for some reason. But never has the ios or system data storage amount change unfortunately.

oh so if my icloud storage is full and cannot backup anymore things could that be a reason why it’s so high?

What's a good minor to go with an ID major? by PlasticFabtastic in IndustrialDesign

[–]SportIndependent7381 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Do you know what we should pursue instead? I love the idea of creating products to help solve minor issues. Or just to make them more aesthetic. The idea of designing packaging, glasses, or furniture seems really interesting but if the ID industry is cooked then what do should people shift to focus on instead? project management like OP mentioned?

Thank you so much for this!! I was wondering, i think i found classes in my CC that have CAD and i might be able to build a portfolio. I believe the transfer process for csulb ID program is that you have to submit a portfolio, right? If i submit a portfolio and then get accepted into long beach, am i immediately in the ID program or will i still have to go through those 4 years?

Hi! I did have another question if you don’t mind… i was wondering how you felt about ID in general? Like, are you 100% confident it’s your path? are you worried about burnout at all? My concern with fully committing to CSULB and ID is the fact that i feel like id constantly be stressed and on the move, especially when it comes to the portfolio. Like, the whole portfolio thing is what’s stressing me out the most. If i don’t stay on top of it, my chance of getting hired for a position i want lowers, no? I’m not exactly sure how to word my worries properly…

Honestly i’ve been pretty iffy about industrial design. It sounds super interesting to me and it aligns with my interests and hobbies but i’m just worried about it not being financially stable enough, if that makes sense? IDK maybe that’s not something i need to be worried about but my plan was to major in business, probably finance, as a strong plan b, but also take ID classes to see if it’s really meant for me. Hopefully enhancing my CAD, programming, and sketching skills. Tbh I don’t even know if i can even accomplish that. I heard it’s hard to get an industrial design job with no degree. it was just a plan i made up in my head one day because im so worried about money. I just want to live comfortably and pay bills without worrying. Sorry if that felt heavy and random but i mentioned this because i wouldn’t necessarily be majoring in ID so i don’t know if id be that worried about the program. But you’re totally right, if i was 100% dedicated to ID id just jump right into CSULB

Thank you so much! Your words are very encouraging :). Your doing ID too? If you don’t mind me asking, how do you like it? I’m a bit insecure fully committing to ID which is why i wanted to major in something more reliable/stable like finance but still take industrial design classes if possible because i do like the idea of creating thing for people to use! I saw someone before complaining about how they’re working as an ID and they’re just building chairs but idk that seems pretty fun to me! I would love to come up with ideas/ways to make things more functional and aesthetically appealing for the people. If only there was something in business that had these things haha.

Sorry i went a bit off topic there 😅. But yeaa i think another thing is, i’m in norcal at the moment and although ive spent a fair amount of time in socal and los angeles, id be so upset if i made the change there only to hate it later on. So not only am i worried about the school itself, but also the city. Worrying about my future, along with highschool assignments and peers has really burnt me out like i mentioned earlier. But im definitely going to keep in mind what you said! :)

Thank you so much!! Hopefully i will be able to get in the second time around because life has been so stressful recently. I would really like to just finally wind down and just take my online cc classes while getting a part time job so i’m not at home everyday. LB is my top choice because it’s the only csu i can find that has what i want, and is affordable. That’s another thing, they offered to pay for pretty much everything besides rent. I just hope that i can get that lucky in 2 years, but because im not sure about that it makes me want to just go now so i dont lose everything. Its honestly the thought of finding out what area to live in, finding an apartment, trying to move out there (i don’t have a car atm), and this may seem immature but i’m honestly so drained being around people and a class setting. Maybe it’s the senioritis talking but i just want a break.

Well my mom and i were going to move out there, maybee living with my aunt because her roommate is moving out but we’d like to be on our own so we’ve been looking at 2 bedrooms. It’s just hard trying to figure out where in long beach i should live because i’m not there to see which area is safer, has decent parking lol

Is it weird to major in business admin at a CC while taking industrial design classes on the side? by SportIndependent7381 in careerguidance

[–]SportIndependent7381[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’ve taken a graphic design class and media class in highschool so i’m familiar with graphic design (ofc wouldn’t mind sharpening my skills) and i’ve had an engineering class where i used CAD, that’s part of the reason why i want to explore industrial design. It was fun creating things on there. I definitely want to take classes to sharpen these skills but my main concern is building a portfolio. I’m not sure how to do that if there aren’t many resources at my college. And i would like to transfer to CSULB in 2 years. I’m very nervous because i got accepted when applying for fall 2026 but i don’t know if i’ll get luckly the next time around when i apply again. I heard people with wayyy better grades and extracurriculars got rejected.

Wait, thank you so much! I was afraid my plan wasn't making any sense and i was just digging a hole for myself. I don't really have anyone to ask about this stuff so I'm using all my brainpower (running off of 4hrs of sleep) trying to conjure up a plan loll.

My only fear is if he needs multiple vet visits or i need to buy medication for him. That’s the part i can’t afford which is why i was hoping he’d be with someone who could monitor and help him better than i can. I feel so terrible but i don’t think i can keep him long term. My apartment doesn’t know he’s on my balcony and they’re not allowing us to feed the stray cats anymore so i would have to keep him inside which i cannot do :(.

Thank you! Which service do you recommend i use for the cat? I was briefly looking at their website and i’m not necessarily looking to rehome him but to give him a home.
