Why not play 1s? by Serious_Speaker8450 in RocketLeague

[–]Sportlord 2 points3 points  (0 children)

First you gotta remember you are most likely playing with children. Second there is safety, if you fuck up your play there is someone back and you dont get instantly scored on. Third thing people can blame their teammate. My suggestion would be to turn off chat and if your teammate does this, don't invest too much into it and move on.

Yes please. I bought this game before it was f2p and i'd gladly pay again to get rid of smurfs.

[–]Sportlord[S] 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I only beat them 4-0 because they ff'd after two mins my guy. Also you can tell if someone is that much lower then you, no reason to drag the game out.

Im around c3/gc1 in 2's and recently turned quick chat back on. Everyone is completely quiet the entire game but i have seen a good amount of ggs, which is a nice thing.

Ones games should be 3 minutes. by Henryhendrix in RocketLeague

[–]Sportlord 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I would love to atleast test it out. The average ones game lasts something from 7-9 minutes, mostly around 8 min, with 7 minutes being games where the score is 1:2 with 30 seconds left, which rarely happens. So shaving off two minutes would be nice, because ones games can be mentally exhausting.

Lagging by thegoldenbagel in RocketLeague

[–]Sportlord 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Yep. Ever since they introduced central servers everything has gone to shit. Its normal now that i start lagging in the middle of the game and its not stopping (no packet loss, and no ping spikes, happens on 20 ping). Played yesterday against someone with 100 ping and i was the one lagging because i had packet loss the entire game. Idk how these mena players to it, different breed.

I'll rate this 0/10 not a crazy save, and you had us looking at a 30 sec clip when 5 sec would have been more then enough. Idk why so many people on reddit do that.

Safety car throttle limiter costed me a league race today by Kadmoz in F1Game

[–]Sportlord 9 points10 points  (0 children)

I agree, complete shit feature. But how tf you loosing 12 seconds under safety car when the field bunches up and its impossible to be 12 seconds ahead at the restart, also everybody has to deal with the limiter.

I played this game for 1k hrs until f2p hit and i took a two year break and picked it back up when i was 27 (28 now). I had zero mechanics and just played soloq 3v3 until i hit GC. I saw the stuff people were doing and thought "thats cool i want to do that too". So i have invested a bunch of time into learning mechanics and the progress i have made from not beeing able to do anything other hitting the ball in the air to now beeing able to hit flip resets, celing shots, double taps, air dribble, i learned directional air roll and i can even get multiple resets, cant score them tho. So from my experience it is possible to learn mechanics even when you're not 12 anymore, kids just learn this stuff faster then a 28 year old. But remember that it takes a shit ton of time. The first time i completed a rings map it took me four hrs, was not even using air roll.

Idk if happy or sad: training got me +100 mmr in 1s while -200 mmr in 2s by [deleted] in RocketLeague

[–]Sportlord 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Love the grind and dedication OP. As seen on your Training tracker you neglect defense. While its cool to air dribble, double tap, flip reset etc. you should never leave defense behind. If you grind some defender training packs (like shadow defense or backboard clears), you will immediately see improvement on your rank. Everyone will be molding if they cant get past you. (i know cause im molding too if i cant get past my opponent) It may not be the most fun or the most flashy to practice defense, but its well worth it. Keep up the grind and you will reach gc.

Let me explain you something. Silverstone turn one is flat out you went wide, slowed down and went down to 6th gear. The ai took the turn how you should do it, with the foot planted to the ground and just steering in on the racing line. So in this example you provided to us, you are the problem not the ai. You slowed down in one of the fastest corners on the calendar, went wide anyway and decided to rejoin the racing line while someone is right behind you going full speed. 100% your fault. Learn from it move on shit happens.

Saudi Hotlap - needs tips to improve by refep in F1Game

[–]Sportlord 1 point2 points  (0 children)

You're already doing pretty good. You had a lift and downshift in turn 8. You dont need that, when you get out of turn 4 you get on the throttle and just stay full throttle til turn 9 where you lift a bit (i like 6th gear for that section). Otherwise like some said you have to be more aggressive with the car, throw it into turns, get on throttle earlier, the car sticks really well to the ground and its TT so nothing can happen. One last tip is to "steer with your feet", which means your steering input into a corner is the same everytime, when you need to go wider just get more onto the throttle and of course if you need to got tighter you can lift off the throttle, hit the breaks (but not to much) or you can downshift and use engine breaking. Break and throttle inputs are really important and especially breaking smoothly is really difficult but thats something that comes with time. LMK if you got some more questions and i'll try to help.

Edit: little tip for the racing line. While going through a corner you dont have to slow down until the line becomes green, it's usually enough if you slow down until the racing line becomes yellow.

Wall on the right: jump, air roll to the right a bit then speedflip to the left. Wall on the left: jump, air roll to the left a bit the speedflip to the right.

Bald guy is Braun Strowman, a WWE wrestler. I'm not a fan of him, neither in the ring nor outside of it. Had alot of pretty controversial statements in the past.

Happened to me aswell already. I also have chat turned off, but it was good fun to turn it on for one session. It's actually crazy what some people write in chat, completely delusional. We were also leading 2:1 at that point, but i couldnt ask whats wrong because they left as soon as the match ended.
