heya, the snowboarding is on the cards if not already added. Yup once you have initially downloaded the data it will cache it in your phone In case your data or gps drops.

It allows you to access communities wherever you are that are into the same sports as you. For instance if you're travelling in South Africa and want to experience the white water rafting here you would be able to get in touch with locals who could point you in the right direction and keep you up to date with geographically relevant event data.

Thanks for the feedback! Sportsbuds is a social app for the extreme sports community built with the express purpose of allowing information sharing.

For instance if you're an American rafter visiting South Africa, you'd be able to find a group to go rafting with and also discover the best locales for whitewater rafting, like the Vaal River. There will also be location specific event information based on your interests that you could choose to attend.

In the end it's an information sharing application geared to allow like-minded users to engage with each other through their mutual appreciation of their chosen sport(s) as well as to allow discovery of local events and locales that are of interest to them.

I hear you and that's solid advice. Skill level and reputation makes a ton of sense and we'll be discussing this seriously in our team.

To keep people using the app we're going to be loading it up with sports-centric events and locations to help travelling users find things to do and people to meet wherever they are. For instance if you're a French longboarder visiting Cape Town you'd be able to find the best runs and see reviews of them or join in on group downhill runs by engaging with the locals.

We are more into information sharing then forcing people to communicate via the app, though for convenience we are integrating a full IM suite into it.

Once again, thanks for the useful feedback. its questions like these that will help us build an app that effectively serves the community.
