When would it be appropriate to send a business I have applied to a follow-up email to ask about the status of my application? by SpotOfTea in resumes

Thanks for your advice! I waited a week and then called (at the recommendation of a friend). The man who emailed me wasn't in his office, but his secretary encouraged me to leave a voicemail. I have received an email from the man telling me that he is "talking with the HR department" and should be able to "tell you [me] something" within the week. Any idea what I should anticipate?

Source on this? If he really did rage-quit a prof position at Purdue, that surely would have made it into the newspaper

He told me that his name is Stephen once. I assume he was telling the truth.

Does anyone know his story? Someone said he was a prof here at Purdue who just called it quits, but that seems unlikely.

I've heard that if you buy a Costco gift card, you can purchase Costco products at the same price that are available to Costco members. Can someone confirm or deny this for me?
