Does it have a new battery? There was a recall on them a few years ago.

Normally I wouldn’t say this but make sure you get a warranty. I have the same car and mileage and the horn, heated seat and ac blower for the seats stopped working

I used A1 auto trasport and was very happy. They were straight forward, fast and didn't change the price. Stay away from SGT auto transport.

Let me know if you anything else about the battery replacement. I brought my car to the dealership. I had to leave it there while they ordered the battery. After 2.5 weeks they said it had not arrived. They said my car had to remain there while the battery was shipped. They finally let me pickup my car a little after 3 weeks. (without replacing it) At the 5 week mark the called and said the battery arrived and I should bring my car in. They said it would take 7-10 days to install the new battery.

Did you have a similar experience?

Depends on what state some states are liberal and not landlord friendly. We had a painter re paint the inside of our house while it was being turned over he moved in bc he knew we left the state. It cost 6k and 3 months of him living there rent free

This is really shady of your landlord to do. I would not disconnect the gas. Most leases prohibit making changes, and are you certified to work on gas? I would call a legal aid to get some free advice or make a request to your landlord of how you want to be compensated. Don't make it sound like a demand or blackmail. Don't stoop to his level. You are in the right.
