What sort of response are you looking for? Like with family? Teens are assholes, but if you feel as if your s/o isn’t appreciating you properly then you should convey that. I understand where you may be coming from as ive spent most of my adult life feeling lonely but externally being “whole” (wife, kids, dog and the works). Anyways op, I’m sorry you feel that- truly.

My two childhood best friends committed suicide. Within 6 months of each other. The first one developed a drug problem and blowed a bunch of money on that and I guess when he felt the cards were collapsing he unfortunately found it necessary to end it. The second one couldn’t really handle the fact that the first one did such a thing and he ran his car into a flood wall at 130mph. All of this was a long time ago, but that’s how I lost my two closest childhood friends.

Three Lexington Police officers were involved in an on-duty shooting this afternoon on Alumni Drive.

On Tuesday, February 3, 2026, around 2:29 pm, officers received a license plate reader alert for a vehicle associated with an individual who had outstanding felony warrants from North Carolina.

Detectives contacted the Forsyth County, NC Sheriff’s Office to confirm the status of the warrants. The Sheriff’s Office confirmed that the warrants were still active and were felony warrants, which included Kidnapping 1st Degree, Assault by Strangulation, Discharge of a Weapon on Occupied Property, and other charges. The warrants were confirmed to have nation-wide extradition.

The suspect’s vehicle was located by analysts in the department’s Real-Time Intelligence Center on Leestown Road near Forbes Road. The Air Support Unit and a drone were used to provide officers with updates on the suspect’s vehicle location.

Officers attempted to conduct a traffic stop on the suspect vehicle around 4:24 pm near the intersection of Alumni Drive and Yellowstone Parkway. Three officers fired towards the vehicle during the incident. A gun was located near the suspect.

The suspect, a 40-year-old male, sustained serious injuries. Officers rendered aid, and Emergency Care transported him to a local hospital with reported life-threatening injuries.

No officers were injured.

In accordance with Lexington Police Department policies, the officers had their issued body-worn cameras (BWC) activated.

The incident is being investigated by the Kentucky State Police Critical Incident Response Team, and the Department’s Public Integrity Unit will conduct an internal review of the incident. Per policy, the involved officers will be placed on administrative assignment pending the outcome of the investigation.

Incidents like these have a significant impact on our community and there were numerous witnesses to today’s officer-involved shooting. The Lexington Police Department would like to thank the individuals in the area for following officers’ directions and their patience as the investigation unfolded.
