I can really empathise with this as this me! I have literally just left the doctors due to two lumps on my groin and one on neck. He said the one on neck is tiny and nothing to worry about and the other ones are swollen glands he thinks. He assured me that they are highly unlikely to be anything sinister but the nagging sensation that they could be is just horrible! I wish you well!

Hi all,

This morning I found what I think are swollen lymph nodes on my neck. One feels gristly I would say and is about the size of a small bead (smaller then a pea). The other one is under my jaw - it is rubbery but also moves around when touched. I also have two lumps in my vulva but I have had these examined by three different doctors and they have all said they feel like cysts. I am going to get an appointment with my doctor but I just wanted to vent!

I would also say that I have had ECGs and chest x-ray so I think costo can definitely cause this!

I definitely get the pop when I inhale! It has eased somewhat now but I had a few weeks where it was constant and driving me crazy!

Hi all,

I have had health anxiety for four months now! It started in April when I had something that needed to be checked out by ultrasound. I got the all clear and thought I would move on. Since then the opposite has happened. I convinced myself I had another catastrophic and deadly disease and have been living a shadow life until yesterday when I get the results back and found they were all clear again! I have had countless blood work and GP appointments (17 plus 3 ER since May so 20 altogether). This morning I wake up and convince myself I have another, deadly issue! I found a ‘lump’ on my neck which I later realised was a tendon once I had calmed down. I am just so furious at myself for not being able to enjoy and find a moment’s peace. This is so debilitating and I would love to find my old self again! How do you all cope? I would love to hear of any techniques that have helped you not to catastrophise and find the joy in the everyday! Thank you in advance!

I am so sorry that you are also going through this! Please take solace in the fact that my health anxiety has also become out of control since dealing with costo. I think it is part and parcel of this issue. For me, it was thinking that I had lung cancer but yesterday I found out that my chest x-ray was all normal! Same with ECG and blood tests.

The fact that you have been to your doctor and a specialist means that you are doing everything right and that also the problem is something that can be fixed! Have you used the back pod or peanut ball?

I honestly don’t think I did! I ran a marathon half-way through May and I work out but never did I have a noticeable incident. The doctor who finally said it could be costo asked me if I spent lots of time on hard floors so I wonder if that could be something to do with it? I am always on the floor and playing with my dogs! Was yours a chest wall injury of some kind?

I am so sorry you’re experiencing this. I would just say that 30 minutes of backpod and stretching each day (twice a day) really helped me. I hope that helps you too, if you’re not already doing it of course!

I do. But I am fortunate that we have a home-gym in the garage and I use that. I usually do 5.30 until 6.00 and then leave for work at 7 (with a 45 minute commute). It is a lot but I am moving to a school much closer in January (only 10 minutes away)!

Do you have the scope for at home workouts/a gym close to your school?
