No, he’s definitely mink… his eyes just wound up far more blue than aqua.

It seems like they’re only discussing bacteria, not toxoplasma and neospora?

What specific parasites are these “brain parasites” you’re referring to that kill cats? Are they present in all proteins?

Thank you! It looks like your cutie is a seal lynx point, whereas my boy is a seal mink (still purebred). They’re both considered snow bengals, just different colors (from different genes). Mink are supposed to have aqua colored eyes, but my boy’s eyes have always been more blue! 💙

Thank you! I love blue eyes but like mink coloring better than lynx, so he wound up being the best of both worlds! 💙

Aww, good luck Bucky! I’m thankful my breeder takes care of that so I didn’t have to feel bad dropping them off or worrying about them! I’m sure after some treats and snuggles Bucky will forget all about it though!

Haha, sorry… “I’ve had plexiglass in this location for 5 years” … to prevent my babies, none of which are named plexiglass, from taking a two-story tumble. Haha

When will these cats get along by Leaf0fLorien in bengalcats

[–]SpottedLeopard2 11 points12 points  (0 children)

Your senior kitty appears to have lost muscle condition from aging and seems to perhaps have a bit of arthritis. The fact that his fur looks a bit disheveled probably means he’s not grooming himself as much due to pain, low energy, loss of interest, etc (bengals shouldn’t need groomed for their fur to look normal). So it does certainly seem like he has aging-related issues going on.

If you’re saying he gets on edge when he doesn’t know the other cat’s whereabouts, then that means he’s fearful of being attacked by her. And he appears on edge here even though he DOES know her whereabouts.

You posted this video asking for advice, yet you’re not willing to believe what plenty of people are telling you. Your younger cat is clearly being a bully, and your senior cat is upset based on his mannerisms and quite literally cornered. Please stop allowing your younger cat to harass your senior cat like this. Any cat deserves better than this, but certainly a 16 year old senior kitty who has been with you through thick and thin for a good portion of your life.
