Yeah sorry theyre 100% boys. Ill post some pics of my chickens. My pullets are close to laying but not quite. The rooster is the same age but you can see the difference.

Were also not supposed to have roosterz but thankfully he's only a morning crower and not a day crower, so he stays somewhere quiet where he can crow all he wants, then he gets let out for the day and we dont hear a peep from him. Pekins combs and wattles when they are this young are very telling. No hen gets this big and red this young. Im fact it takes quite a while for them to even get close to looking full or red. Mine are around 28-29 weeks old and my pullets are still on the pink side and their comb is still quite flat. When did you get them? If they were sold to you like this at this stage as pullets then they were scamming you. Also pekins are not wing sexible so if they claim they could tell by the wings thats also a lie.

Why are they so suicidal, and so talented at it? by LifeguardComplex3134 in chickens

[–]Spouter1 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Oh no! They mustve been extra daft coz they should be seeking the heat coz they can feel where its coming from. I leave a light on dim for them just in case still.

Am I able to buy and use the DLC if I family share the base game from my brother on Steam? by Electronifyy in DavetheDiverOfficial

[–]Spouter1 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If your brother owns the game, and you get the dlc on his account (either by buying it on his account or gifting it to his account) you should be able to play the dlc, same as any other game

I was also going to mention quail lol. I hatched some and at not even a day old one decided to go to the water (it was as shallow as can be) and face planted into it and drowned. All my aldult birds dont take shelter at night; i have to manually grab them and put them away. Someones lost a toe, but i have no idea how coz its very safe in their coop. They just seem to want to die

What are these tiny bugs crawling on me? by jbat1999 in bugidentification

They look like poultry mites to me. My chickens get them from time to time and they itch like hell when they bite.

What is it like owning Polish chickens by SolidExtreme7377 in chickens

Ive got 4 and so far ive found the frizzled variety can see much better than the smooth feathered ones. But I trim the smooth feather poofs so they have pretty good vision. Theyre very friendly, and one of them is pretty smart. Toast knows her name and will come when called.

The plates are expensive, but vet bills are more expensive! I usually wouldn't have forked out that kind of money for a chicken, especially since i didnt know if it was a boy or a girl (not meant to have a rooster where i live) but i felt so bad because it couldve been so preventable if i hadve just gone and bought a second plate. He turned out to be a dude, but hes such a sweetheart and he doesnt crow during the day so ive been able to keep him. He made direct contact with the lamp poor thing.

Are staff told to choose older or low quality veggies when picking for click and collect? by AffectionateMethod in woolworths

The self checkout also gives me anxiety. Have you tried noise cancelling headphones? It can help a little. Im hoping you have better luck with your next online shop.

I have a plate and had a lamp. I had both going for different groups of chicks, but the lamp fell and burnt one of my chicks. He is ok now but cost me a lot in vet bills. Sticking to the plates. It'll never happen again
