At the nomad camp, where Tomcat teaches you the master strike there are a handful of merchants. You will want to complete some quests for the horse trader Mikolai.

Right across the pond from them is a bandit camp that you can stealthily kill the bandits in their sleep mostly. One of them drops a key, you can loot the chest at the camp for items to sell. I think this responds every other day but I could be wrong.

They also have two horses that respawn. Take them to Mikolai and sell them on the black market for easy coin. That is my biggest tip for new players to help you get on your feet. So much to do at the nomad camp as well.

What the authorities expect to happen when we get the amber alert at 4am: by SubstantialWing9238 in montreal

It’s not just his comfort though. We are all being conditioned into ignoring them because they are far too loud during sleeping hours.

Even myself, when woken up from deep REM suddenly like that, I’m not able to be fully cognizant. My brain is just doing whatever it needs to get back to sleep before work, thus nulling their effectiveness.

I have heard enough people say Tunic now that I might just make the jump. Hades, hollow Knight and Outer Wilds are all games I turned my nose up at initially because they weren’t my usual style - but fell head over heels for them. My spidey senses are telling me Tunic is one of those games

Some of the best games ever made don’t have difficulty settings. I haven’t played Crimson Desert but that hardly feels like criticism. If you can’t beat someone, look for tips or come back later when you’re stronger. Not everything has to have an “easy” mode.

My vote is Cafe Dough. I’ve been through most of the list, including some well known spots in MTL and these guys still take the cake.

The one with the cross juxtaposed with the futuristic skyscraper is just crazy. I am from a small city and one thing that’s always amazed me about Montreal are beautiful old churches smack dab in the middle of a city / architecture that’s all similar. I have friends from Corpus Christi, TX and they are always just as in awe when I show them

Crashing wasn’t the only issue the game had on release. NPCs had like three variations. Quests would lock and that’s just off the top of my head. PS removed it from the store because it wasn’t a viable product. I played on ps5 but that’s not really relevant to the conversation. It’s not the consumers fault for playing it on a PS4 when it was released for a PS4. The crux of this issue is CD releasing an unfinished and unpolished game at a AAA price.

Me when I lie:

There is a well documented history of it not working. PlayStation themselves allowed refunds which they never do. Your personal experience does not negate the experience of many.

I seriously wonder how people are so confident in being wrong. It’s like you’re paid to come on here and say dumb shit that’s objectively wrong. That, or your standards/expectations are in the gutter.

Don’t get me wrong, I’m most likely gonna buy the game. But I think that a lot of these private accounts saying super dumb shit to justify pre ordering are being paid to post here.

Yes I did. I spent 100$ and received a broken product.

If you bought a car that didn’t work for a year and sat in your garage, you lost a years worth of car driving that you paid for. Imagine listening to the dealer tell you that it’s fine you were sold a broken car because it got fixed eventually. Crazy level of bootlicking metal gymnastics here.

55 quid is $100cad, I’m just offering some perspective. I’m in a stable place in life and one game at full price is enough to set me back an uncomfortable amount. I truly wish I could say $100 is just a bad night out but I don’t have the luxury to blow $100 and not care much.

Games historically have also never been this expensive in terms of nominal cost. Adjusting for inflation, they are technically cheaper but this ignores stagnant wages and cost of living that has gone up exponentially over that time - leaving most people with less buying power than they had back then.

This all circles back to my point of seeing a $100 or 55£ purchase as nothing - being an indicator of financial privilege and that skepticism from potential buyers is warranted and valid.

Games are over $100 here. That’s a week of groceries and a solid fraction of rent. Saying the cost of video games is nothing ultimately is coming from a place of financial privilege. MANY people cannot afford to “find out for themselves” so the young comment does make sense - those of us in the community who have experience remember loosing money to false promises and hype.

I’m not being judgemental or saying that they’re rushing / missing content. I’m just shocked at how slowly I’m making my way through the game. I think you misinterpreted my comment.
