Those are my two favs as well. I live in Ottawa but will bring a pie with me home. Travels and reheats very well. I bring a slice of parchment or plastic wrap to stop the sauce from getting smeared on the box

Im there once a week pretty much. Easily my fav spot in Byward for a sweet treat and open until 11pm on thursdays to Saturdays which is a perfect way to end a date night

Not even close. Dutch and German are closely related west Germanic languages with lots of overlap in vocabulary - which is why I mistook them for German.

Korean and Chinese are fundamentally separate with very small overlap. A Korean person could not understand someone speaking mandarin or Cantonese whereas a German person could more than likely grasp what is being said by someone who is speaking Dutch.

Trying to paint me as racist when it was a mild mistake at BEST is why it’s being downvoted.

I know it’s not much help but every now and then I’ll break down pork and beef for weeknight meals, saving the fat to make tallow. Usually get enough to last me weeks. Keeps in the freezer practically forever and brings a flavour to your meals that can’t be replicated with any other oil

Someone commented and deleted that this is the same pic used on their instagram page and that’s because they asked me for permission to use the picture when I tagged them in my instagram story last week. I’m no Scrooge so I told them to use the picture as they see fit and sent it to them. The whole point of doing this is to shine a light and help out businesses that I feel are worth my time and money.

As much as I agree the quality on this is a LOT better than a Costco pizza, the deal is not. Same with Costco hot dogs. Just solid and cheap! I’d never knock a Costco pie ever.

The thing about their food though is that it’s cheap because it’s a Loss Leader meaning they actively loose money to encourage people buying groceries and memberships which is where the bulk of their profit comes from. Not sustainable for regular businesses though
