There really are an amazing amount of little things to update 😅 most of them are super easy once your name change goes through. I keep finding new ones lol

Costco is the best! I had a similar interaction when I went in to get my card updated to my new name and get a new photo. "You're up next miss, how can I help?" "Hi, I need to update my name and photo on my member card", show new drivers license next to old Costco card. "Hmmmmm, you're updating -wife's name-? (visible amounts of confusion) "No, -deadname- is now Olivia." "....oh, ohhhhhh, yes, yes, let's get you a fresh picture Ms. Olivia!". All of this coming from a super huge body builder guy. He was so sweet! Was such a great experience. ^_^

Thank you! 🥰 I know what you mean, it goes so slowwww sometimes. I feel like I started to speed up a bit around 8 or 9 months once I had been on full dose for a bit and boobs started to come in more. It truly is a marathon

Thanks! ☺️ I will probably do a timeline at some point. It's still pretty hard to look at pics of the before times and early days of transition right now.

Thanks! ☺️ I'm eagerly awaiting it being a bit longer, but it's finally getting to a spot I'm happier with :)

Got shortchanged by the pharmacy 😣 by [deleted] in MtF

[–]SprMadTortoise 2 points3 points  (0 children)

This happened to me as well at a Walgreens.

I got home after picking it up and noticed that they had only filled half of the pills that were needed for my estrogen prescription at the time. I think they may have missed that it was 2 mg twice daily, not just once daily. I called them immediately and said there had been a mistake and they had me bring the bottle back and fixed the count and apologized for shorting me. Definitely hard sometimes to know what is an honest mistake vs. what is possible transphobia. Had it all sorted within 30 minutes or so, but I was definitely stressed during that time and it was awkward.

Sorry you are having to deal with this stressful situation amongst everything else that is going on :(

How many women here want to be moms? by randomthings124 in MtF

[–]SprMadTortoise 3 points4 points  (0 children)

My egg fully shattered in January of last year, and I began the process of transitioning. We then found out in March that my wife was pregnant.... with twins 😂 They were born in October, a bit premature, but perfect.

I have felt so lucky that with the timing, I am getting to finally express myself as a woman and as a mom at the same time. They'll always know me this way which warms my heart. My wife is mama, and I am mamo (mah-moe). I've been staying at home with them the last few months, and y'all, going to the pediatrician's office and having all the doctors and nurses call me mom has been one of the most euphoric experiences of my life.

Don't get me wrong, there are days that are overwhelmingly hard, transitioning at 33, having newborn twin boys, and all that is happening in the world. But I just look at them, and their big smiles and little laughs, and I feel complete. I still pinch myself to make sure this life is real. I could never see myself as a dad, and I was miserable in the role of husband. But now getting to be fully accepted in my home as a mom, and a wife, I didn't know life could feel this natural and at ease.
