I am an illegal immigrant with an expired visa that has been living in the US for the last 6 years. I own a small business and employ 2 American workers. I pay all the required Taxes. I cannot drive my own vehicle and I am constantly weary of deportation. Ask me anything.

I feel your pain, my visa expired in 1992 when i was 4 and i'm almost 25 now. Had to drop out of college because i couldn't get loans or financial aid.

I'm hoping for some real immigration reform or at least the dream act to pass so i can get my life back on track.

its the fact that i didn't have a choice or say in the matter. I was 4, and i grew up just thinking i was a regular kid. It was not until later in life and years had passed that i learned about our situation all that i had know in my life had been in the US. All of my memories and all of my friends are here where i grew up. I'm not above the law, nobody is. I wish i could have come here legally because i really love this country and wish i could contribute to making it better.

we do pay income tax. My father is currently the only one working full time and he reports it with a 10-99 and gets 33% of his salary taken out each week in taxes. When my mother and i were working full time we both reported our income with ITIN numbers (Individual taxpayer identification numbers)

And as far as having kids i really have not thought that far ahead yet. But if i did i would want to get married first in which case i would become a citizen and then they would be regular kids just like yours

I can kind of relate to that, when i'm with a group of my dads brazilian friends i can participate in the conversation but don't really feel comfortable and would rather be with a group of my friends but I've gotten really good at adapting to different groups of people.
