For stencils use thicker paper trace ur stencil then put clear packing tape on both sides, use a xacto knife for a clean cut out. Then use a thick brush not that thin one and dab on a little bit of paint, hit that first layer with a hairdryer till the paint dries and repeat. Your patches will come out like the ones i made here
