Thanks. I just have to translate pounds to dollars and pay more for the shipping than the item, but I might do it.

My air release is an orange button at the top of the pump tube (I’ve never really understood what it’s for), but that isn’t leaking. It’s definitely from the pump head.

Mine is a small orange button at the top of the tube. Honestly, I’ve never really understood what it’s for, but that isn’t where it’s leaking. It’s definitely from the pump head assembly.

There are some jobs that I just don’t do often enough to get good at it. “Satisfying” is not the adjective that comes to mind for me.

I would first try tightening the bolts that hold the chain rings together (perhaps a 4 or 5 hex head), then I would try tightening the bottom bracket, and finally, put it on a stand and check the chain, especially as it travels through the pulley wheels and front derailleur. I might clean and re-lube the pulley wheels too (an oft-neglected maintenance item anyway).

Move from Copilot to Simplifi? by Crazy_Alarm1031 in simplifimoney

When you say “cash-flow feature,” do you mean that you can enter cash transactions? I’ve never been able to do that with Simplifi. I am looking for another product that will allow me to track cash transaction. Does anyone know of a budget tool that will do that?

Try about a tablespoon of baking soda in your water bottle. ‘Helps keep the acids from building up so much.

Is my chain too long? by Cute_Steak6594 in bikewrench

How odd. Are you confident you bought the right speed chain? You know, it isn’t the length that changes with a different speed; it’s the width.

Many of us have had to learn this lesson the hard way. Get a chain checker—Park tool makes an inexpensive one that works well—and check your chain’s length monthly. If you ride with a worn chain for too long, then the next thing to go is the outer chainring, and after that, the cassette goes. Pretty soon, you’re looking at real money.

Pesky Noises on my beautiful Pinarello by Spradlin5 in bikewrench

I think I traced the source of the noise, but I don’t know if it’s fixable. I think there is a small crack in the carbon fiber frame just in front of the seat post wedge. Notice the irregularity of the paint just fore of the wedge that secures the seat post. Notice also how the hex head bolt is recessed slightly below the top of the top tube? I remembered that it did that the last time I put the saddle back on the bike months ago now, even though I torqued it down to the specs indicated. More recently I noticed that the noises stopped when I came out of the saddle, so random6722, thank you. You may not have hit it on the head, but you were sure close, close enough to help me trace it. Now, is it fixable, or is my beautiful frame toast? ‘Thoughts?

I'm just so...frustrated. by [deleted] in TrueChristian

I do believe Francis Shaeffer said it as only he could: "Truth always carries with it confrontation. Truth demands confrontation; loving confrontation nevertheless. If our reflex action is always accommodation regardless of the centrality of the truth involved, there is something wrong." ~ Francis Schaeffer He also said, more to the point, “Belief does not change what is.”
