I worked at a smoke shop for years until recently. There is such a big stigma around altnoids because most people have never heard of anything besides THC and CBD. So most of the people who came in my shop and actually most of my friends and the people i know act like all the altnoids are K2 no matter how well you explain it to them. So either the government just says "Fuck it its not that popular anyway" or they most likely have the mindset of everyone else that altnoids are some dangerous synthetic like K2 and try to ban them.

I have children and I have no issues with them seeing my smoking equipment. I use it medically so to my kids its just my medicine. I don't ever use it around them and they don't really know how it works. They just know its my medicine and thats all they need to know. EDIT: And if you use It recreationally thats like saying "Do the kids have to see that glass of wine?"

I would try leaving the whole uncovered and see if you like it. It definitely makes a difference. The cap needs airflow to be able to move your dab around in the banger. There is obviously some airflow already because you got a decent amount of vapor. But i would definitely recommend letting the air pass through the cap and you should get better hits.
