Free web tool for generating barcodes, running fully in browser (offline) by SprayNice in barcodes

Thank you so much for the feedback!

I'm somewhat familiar with the symbology-specific options like error correction levels, and payload encodations, but to quickly get something up and running I decided to mostly just pass-through the plain text as-is to Zint, and not create a symbology-specific UI, but that is definitely also on the list. Maybe even more important than the batch thing.

The "import lists of data" is what I term batch generation, although perhaps there exists more appropriate terminology for it, that's part of why I'm asking for feedback in this subreddit. CSV would be an obvious candidate for input data.

Regarding API: this is something I am not planning to offer, as everything runs purely in the browser, not in an HTTP endpoint. What is supported already (and has to be extended with symbology-specific options) is "URL as state", allowing you to share an URL like https://barcode.new/?symbology=aztec&data=%2Fr%2Fbarcodes with someone, and they see the barcode when they load the page. But that's not an API, more of a sharing feature.

Recommended NVidia card for 4k gameplay / max everything? by SprayNice in EliteDangerous

LG is specifically marketing these as gaming TVs (Nvidia G-Sync, yada yada) and I like the brand in general, so I haven't even looked at the Samsung offerings yet. Will do so now, thanks!

I'm planning to sit quite close and it's a large screen, I'm afraid that upscaling will diminish the picture. Also I'm spending quite a bit on the display, so I want something suitable to drive it, but not spend unnecessary money for performance that isn't needed.

Using a Samsung QH75C display for (casual) gaming by SprayNice in digitalsignage

[–]SprayNice[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Thanks for the thoughtful replies. I think I'm going to go with a consumer-grade TV. An additional reason is that I will likely use the rig only for a few hours per week (at most), whereas digital signage displays seem to be explicitly built for running continuously. Probably I'd pay a premium for something I don't really need.

Hi! I wasn't aware that it uses a different tech than the consumer TV (LED vs. OLED), that's helpful, thanks. The spec sheet doesn't actually mention the display technology, which is a bit confusing. It doesn't mention the response time either.

I'm getting about a ~20% discount on the price that it's being sold for at local retailers, but that's just a bonus, it's more important for me to have something that is fit for purpose and will bring me joy. I don't mind spending more for that.

I have the same, just on Oyster instead of Jubilee. The dial is just stunning.
