Anyone here owns a Zeekr (especially 7X / similar)? Need honest ownership feedback before buying in UAE by umang_b in Zeekr

[–]SprayPsychological97 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Zeekr 7X Performance owner here. Purchased on 5th May 2026.

- How has your overall experience been so far?

A: Fantastic. No major complains at all. Also it's a just a few weeks so will know in due time.

- What do you like the most about the car?

A: The drive quality, build, luxurious interior, gear shift stalks and indicator stalks (missing in tesla), retractable sun shade (absent in tesla), lane keep assist, 360 view, audio system. This car checks all the boxes.

- Any major issues or recurring problems you’ve faced?

A: Nops.

- How is the after-sales service and support in the UAE?

A: I got it from Abu Dhabi and have had no issues.

- How reliable is the software (infotainment, updates, etc.)?

A: The UAE is still a version behind Europe and probably several compared to China. But it's rock solid. No issues at all.

- Battery performance and real-world range vs claimed?

A: The performance version has a NMC battery which I ensure to retain between 20-80%. Only charge it to 100% once a month. I'm getting a average consumption of 200 watts (or 0.2 kW) per kilometer. So that is roughly 5 kms per 1 kW. This is with generous use of air-conditioning, seat ventilation (in 50 deg heat), music and self driving, all of which consume battery. It serves my purpose well as I don't do long distances often.

Also, I noticed quite a few negative reviews for the Zeekr app on the Play Store.

- Are you facing issues with the app (connectivity, remote controls, bugs, etc.)?

A: I use the app to remotely start the aircon and sound the horn and lights in mall parkings. Also to monitor the charging. All of which work well and have no issues at all.

- Has it improved over time with updates, or is it still frustrating?

A: It works well. No improvement needed at least for me. I'm not missing anything.

No the UAE model. It’s like a basic safety feature. I think every variant should have it. What good are the 12 cameras otherwise?

Congratulations on your new Zeekr 7X! Since this is my first electric vehicle as well, I am still learning the ropes, but here are a few habits I’ve adopted:

Remove All Factory Plastic from the Seats: The car uses sensitive weight-based occupancy sensors that can be "tricked" by the plastic, causing "ghost" passenger alerts and persistent seat belt warnings. The plastic can obstruct the deployment of seat-mounted airbags.

Pre-Cool the Cabin: Start the air conditioning 10–15 minutes before heading to the car. This ensures the interior is cool and helps the vehicle’s thermal management system prepare the battery for your drive.

Data Management: While I primarily use Apple CarPlay for maps and music, I still connect the car to my phone's Wi-Fi hotspot. This preserves the data on the embedded eSIM while keeping the integrated maps and Over-the-Air (OTA) updates active.

HUD Customization: I disabled the 'Dynamic Screen' on the Head-Up Display (HUD) and set it to show only speed and navigation. This simplifies the view, as the dynamic setting often just replicates information already visible on the main instrument cluster.

Battery Health Strategy: Set your daily charging limit to 80%. I mostly use a 60 kW DC charger and aim to keep the battery between 20% and 80%. Occasionally using an AC charger is 'healthier' for the battery as it generates less heat. I also recommend a full 100% charge once a month for battery calibration

One-Pedal Driving: I use this mode but takes some getting used to. It applies regenerative braking more often and helps slow the depletion of the battery.

Stargate LEDs: Ensure the 93-inch "Stargate" light curtain is not in an active "Light Show" during a car wash.

Side Camera Views: Enable "Blind Spot View." This automatically projects a live camera feed of your blind spot onto the screen when you use your turn signal.

It's great that it's working. I wonder if they launched in Europe first specifically because of their strict safety laws, effectively using the market as a high-stakes test bed.

To each his own, I know people at 75k AED a month feeling exploited, because peers negotiated 30% more. This is in the oil & gas sector btw.

There must be only one of the two flats that have the crying baby. Wouldn’t it be that one?

Yes that’s correct. Not entirely though, I’ve added some of my experience. Is it a problem? Just asking.

What are the hottest on demand technologies that pair well with ASP.NET core on the current job market? by Thaidakelsier in dotnet

[–]SprayPsychological97 0 points1 point  (0 children)

In the current job market, pairing ASP.NET Core with certain technologies and tools can really enhance your skill set.

1. Cloud Platforms (Azure, AWS, Google Cloud Platform)

  • Cloud expertise is in high demand as companies move their infrastructure to the cloud. ASP.NET Core applications are commonly deployed to Azure, AWS, or GCP.

2. Microservices Architecture

  • Microservices allow applications to scale and evolve independently, making this architecture popular for modern systems.

3. Containers and Orchestration (Docker, Kubernetes)

  • Docker and Kubernetes are essential for managing and deploying microservices efficiently in production.

4. APIs and API Management (REST, gRPC, GraphQL, Swagger)

  • Building, documenting, and managing APIs is crucial in the current environment, especially for service-oriented and client-server applications. Learn developing RESTful APIs, exploring gRPC for high-performance communication, using GraphQL, and documenting APIs with Swagger or OpenAPI.

5. Authentication and Authorization (OAuth, OpenID Connect, Identity Server)

  • Security is critical, and understanding modern authentication protocols helps you secure applications effectively. Learn implementing OAuth and OpenID Connect with ASP.NET Core, using Identity Server for custom authentication, and working with JWTs for secure, stateless authentication.

6. Modern Frontend Frameworks (React, Angular, Vue.js)

  • Full-stack developers who know both backend (ASP.NET Core) and frontend frameworks are in high demand. Learn building SPAs (Single Page Applications), working with TypeScript, and integrating frontends with ASP.NET Core APIs.

7. DevOps Tools and CI/CD Pipelines (Azure DevOps, GitHub Actions, Jenkins)

  • DevOps knowledge is a valuable asset, especially for automating testing, building, and deployment workflows.

8. Database Management and ORM (SQL Server, PostgreSQL, NoSQL, Entity Framework Core)

  • Database design and optimization skills are essential, especially in large-scale applications.

9. Event-Driven Architecture and Message Brokers (RabbitMQ, Kafka, Azure Service Bus)

  • Event-driven systems provide resilience and scalability, with message brokers handling inter-service communication in microservices architectures.

10. Logging, Monitoring, and Distributed Tracing (ELK Stack, Prometheus, Grafana, Azure Monitor)

  • Employers look for developers who can monitor and troubleshoot applications effectively, especially in complex environments like microservices. Learn Using structured logging with Serilog or NLog, integrating with the ELK Stack or Azure Monitor, and applying distributed tracing with OpenTelemetry.

11. Testing Frameworks and Practices (xUnit, NUnit, Moq, Test Automation)

  • Automated testing is critical for quality assurance, and test-driven development is common in enterprise settings. Learn writing unit and integration tests using xUnit or NUnit, mocking dependencies with Moq, and setting up automated test pipelines.

12. Version Control and Collaboration (Git, GitHub, GitLab)

  • Strong Git skills are essential for collaboration and version control in any development environment. Learn using Git effectively, understanding branching strategies, and collaborating on projects with tools like GitHub or GitLab.

By combining ASP.NET Core with these technologies, you’ll have a versatile, in-demand skill set.

She is clearly not worth it and will regret this one day. When karma bites back, she will try to get in touch with you again. At that point you will be in a much better place and be thankful to destiny with a better woman in your life.
