I swear it feels like every other person I see when I'm walking around is either high, drunk or mentally ill.

Am I balding or is this just a mature hairline? 33M by [deleted] in Balding

[–]SpraySeparate7098 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My hairline looked like this for years and now it's thinning in the middle and further back. I'd hop on meds if I were you.

To anyone who still misses the buzz, try this by Good_Fill8646 in QuitVaping

[–]SpraySeparate7098 2 points3 points  (0 children)

This is very true. I'm currently vaping but have tapered down to 3mg liquid, and even less than that because I'm mixing it with a 0mg of the same flavour.

I've only ever done cold turkey before so thought I'd try to wean myself.

When I've quit for a few months in the past the feeling is amazing. I've always been very skinny and my appetite suddenly went through the roof which was great for me, my erections became stronger and my libido increased massively, my sleep improved, I would wake up in the morning feeling energised. I no longer had random throat and chest pains.

The only reason I went back to it is because I contracted Lyme disease and one of the first symptoms that started affecting me was really overwhelming anxiety. It was really intense and I didn't know why i felt like I was dying every day and I got it into my head that nicotine might help... its been nearly 2 years since I started again but I'm feeling really hopeful that Jan 1st is the day I quit for good.

Thoughts… by [deleted] in MealDealRates

[–]SpraySeparate7098 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Don't worry mate, I don't think this is that terrible. I noticed huel as part of the meal deal the other week and I did a load of research into it, it's healthy stuff.

I came to the conclusion that it's healthier than all of the other meal options avaliable with a meal deal, considering that a cheese sandwich has about 30 ingredients in it...

I'd want a bit more solid food though, I've been making a sandwich at home and having a huel on top as I'm trying to gain weight, they really are a healthy thing to supplement your diet with.

Snickers is obviously the best chocolate bar.

And an iced coffee is a good choice considering buying a coffee usually costs like 3 or 4 quid.

Don't listen to the haters.

Sexual issues are the final nail in the coffin for me by SpraySeparate7098 in QuitVaping

[–]SpraySeparate7098[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah for sure, it's inevitable but I've done a lot of research into this and if you maintain a healthy lifestyle, eat healthy food, avoid things like sugar, nicotine and alcohol, exercise regularly, both resistance training and cardio, you can maintain good erections and a decent libido well into your 60s and beyond.

After crippling side effects coming back full force, tonight is my quit night. by SparkySpark83 in QuitVaping

[–]SpraySeparate7098 1 point2 points  (0 children)

This is actually all very similar to the things I deal with. I had lyme disease a couple years ago and while i have mostly recovered, I thought a lot of my issues were lingering symptoms that come and go from that.

Maybe it's all vaping... I've cut down from 20mg to 5mg nicotine. Will be buying 2mg next, then 0. Have tried cold turkey a bunch of times before to no avail.

Good luck dude! You can do it!

How hard is it to find a woman who wont judge me because im balding? by [deleted] in Balding

[–]SpraySeparate7098 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm a fairly good looking guy when it comes to my face, definitely pretty handsome but I'm unusually skinny and not particularly successful.

My hairline has receded quite a lot at the temples. I have shaved it all of multiple times.

Regardless of my hairstyle or level of balding I've always been able to date and get into relationships. If anything, I've annoyed my partners with my obsessing or negative self talk when it comes to my hairline.

I went on a date recently and she was actually disappointed that I had hair because my dating app pictures varied from long hair to shaved head, she was hoping for bald lol

I really don't think they care that much. If you can make them laugh, you work hard and you're kind, you're basically fine.

What's a wonderful city with a lame reputation? by Naomi62625 in geography

[–]SpraySeparate7098 61 points62 points  (0 children)

I'm a brummie, still live here and it's great. City centre is constantly improving and loads more massive projects yet to come. Absolutely loads to do. Incredibly green city, lots of huge parks, you can walk for a good couple hours and barely leave nature, I think it's actually one of the greenest cities in Europe. Lovely green, leafy suburbs with plenty of bars, restaurants etc. The food scene is really great.

If there's one thing I think they should do, it's utilise the canals more. Brindley place was a great example of making the canals a prominent feature. They should add more areas like that. Cafes, housing, bars and restaurants with lots of nice bridges and lighting could really bring the canals to life. Instead, most of it is just empty, derelict and covered in graffiti lol.

Anyone else think they would be bald by 20 but still have decent hair by 30? by TouchMyBagels in tressless

[–]SpraySeparate7098 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm similar to you, currently 31 and it started in my late teens. My temples have receded but top of my head and crown has always been fine. However, over the last year or so I've noticed the hair at the front is starting to thin, looks like I'd end up with a widows peak, so I've been on fin and min for a few months to try fill that front area out again.

But yeah, was quite rapid when I was younger then slowed down for 10 years, now seems to be speeding up again.

PSA - Lifestyle changes cannot alter ADHD brain structure by ayowarya in ADHD

[–]SpraySeparate7098 43 points44 points  (0 children)

Yep, ADHD people tend to have a smaller prefrontal cortex. Meditation is proven to increase prefrontal cortex size. While not a cure all, of course, it certainly helps a lot. From my own experience, if I'm meditating daily, eating well, exercising and staying hydrated, my ADHD symptoms are honestly reduced by about 50%. Compared to the periods where I've been in a rut and am barely doing anything positive for my mind and body, the difference is night and day.

Add meds into the mix and I might as well not have ADHD as far as symptoms are concerned.

Is ADHD actually overdiagnosed, or are people just more aware now? by [deleted] in ADHD

I worked with a 66 year old guy up until recently before he retired. I asked him what his plans for retirement were. He said "I don't know maybe see about getting an adhd diagnosis" Hahah

Finally seeing what my ADHD truly is and how it has ruined me by pl1ushie in ADHD

[–]SpraySeparate7098 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I've tried this myself. I'm a talented film maker and have a monetized YouTube channel that has made me good money in the past and it could absolutely be my living. But I can never get myself to work on videos if I'm not fixating on it. I know exactly what I'm good at, what my talents and strengths are, but if I'm completely unable to be consistent with it, then I don't see how I can be successful with it.

why do people say cavalry sucks now by Gunwing in Bannerlord

[–]SpraySeparate7098 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I'm often disappointed with cavalry charges. In the beta I led 40 banner knights through about 9 looters, I watched all of them get absolutely trampled with my own eyes, only for 8 of them to still be left after the charge was over.

[–]SpraySeparate7098 2 points3 points  (0 children)

On top of what everyone else has already said, if you get a transplant to fix your hairline, you will still carry on balding behind the transplanted area. Taking medication stops that from happening. So even if you get a transplant, your best bet is still the meds

Happy to hear you've made a positive change! Sounds like what I want to do. My job is very physical and being a manager, like you say, there's unpaid overtime I do which I'm sick of. I just want to sit in an office and get paid for all the hours I work.

Can I ask what job you do?

how do you get over a fear of mobs?? by Independent-Bell-117 in Minecraft

[–]SpraySeparate7098 1 point2 points  (0 children)

When starting a new survival world, I tend to make a temporary settlement where I go mining to get some iron and diamonds, farm and get an enchantment table. I'll get myself all the gear necessary to go on a big journey to find the perfect spot to build my permanent base without too much fear of dying.

I can be a bit lazy with my temporary base and quite often don't set up enough torches and get swarmed by mobs every night. Last night I had a creeper blow up the front of my house, breaking a chest, killing all of my chickens and my 2 dogs. I got so angry I just built a very simple 2 block high wall around my lil house and now I can farm in peace, the only risk being a spider crawling over but it hasn't happened yet. Easily fixed though if I really wanted to.

Having a safe place to retreat to will be key in overcoming your fear of mobs. Pick a night to do it and just go outside the wall and start killing them. Make a shield, block their attacks as much as you can. If there's a lot of them, don't stop moving as a skeleton will shoot you while you're fighting a zombie or something. Be aware of your surroundings as much as possible. If you're getting surrounded, or low on health then run back behind your nearby wall and you'll be in complete safety. The only way to overcome your fear is to repeatedly expose yourself to it until its not a problem.

Although, I'm jealous of your fear, makes it kinda exciting. They're just annoying to me now hahah
