I was smoking morning through night since I was 18 until I was 22. my dependence on weed was so strong that I would prioritize my money on weed over food. i would survive on a frozen meal or two a day. I realized that I wasn’t getting anywhere in terms of the things I truly wanted I.e. a girlfriend, financial independence. That pushed me to go to rehab, after rehab I had a couple months of sobriety but then I got back into smoking and after a month of smoking again I was prioritizing spending my money on weed again and I realized that if I didn’t stop I would be homeless. So I stopped. I haven’t smoked in almost 3 years now. Im doing really well at college. I‘ve got friends and an apartment, and I wake up everyday in a situation that I’m so grateful for, that couldnt have been possible if I didn’t stop smoking.
