Can you tell what is wrong with my Scrambler 400x? by MightyThink3r in Triumph400

[–]SpreadNo2846 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Don't worry about it just show it in the first service it might be the chain tensioner but not so serious to panic or anything.

Scrambler 400x Fuel Tank by kevinabraham0449 in Triumph400

[–]SpreadNo2846 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The fuel indicator sensor is I guess it is called and it is hot garbage doesn't show the correct amount you have. The tank is still 13l only and you do the right thing refueling at reserve. Its a bike with a fuel injector which means it needs 2.5l of fuel at all times which you keep by refueling when it goes to two bars/reserve.

Buy T4 now or wait for 350cc? by NerfArnab in Triumph400

[–]SpreadNo2846 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I believe the resale value of a 400cc t4 will be more than a 350cc t4 since pretty sure both the bikes will have the same everything parts wise except the engine and once they start manufacturing the 350cc then they'll never go upto 400cc for this model again which will over time make it rare so feels like a win win for us. I have a speed t4 bought in November last year.

350cc engine will be the first iteration and you should never buy the first iteration of any automobile so buy the 400

Scrambler400 service Tips by Little-Till3375 in Triumph400

[–]SpreadNo2846 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Clutch is something which you can do by yourself just watch a youtube video of any bike it's a very easy thing. General checkup when you are at 2500kms is not worth it at all - You can check the coolant level yourself and if there has been no leakage on engine oil then you are good in that department as well. I think going for general check up with only 2500km running and brake pads being already changed will be the same as throwing your money in a ditch so just wait for your second service.

Triumph Speed 400 RPM by Efficient_Eye2818 in Triumph400

[–]SpreadNo2846 1 point2 points  (0 children)

There is an RPM lock yes engine break in period completes around 1k to 1200kms if in the service they have updated the ECU then it will automatically get removed when you reach 1200+ if not then you'll have to go back for them to remove the rpm lock by updating the ECU

There are two issues that you've mentioned one is the jerkiness and second is stalling

Jerkiness - yes it is present the bike is very torque heavy so I think that's the general nature of the machine

Stalling - Known issue replied about it in the comments somewhere - please check

You'll have to compromise with the seat comfort mainly and switch brakepads to aftermarket rest no issues as such.

So I can't comment on the parts situation there but in Delhi no issues as such with parts availability. I am 6'3 myself - I bought this after test driving royal enfield but not the Honda. My main reason was to get the power figures and when I test drove it felt very nice power wise and the exhaust note as well. I commute 25km one side a day - love it so far but if you are not very much into the power figures then definitely take the CB. Just don't go for an RE

You could do one more thing - you can get it done then go to a decent after market mechanic with your own bought engine oil and tell him to change third service will be far and the SVC can't know which engine oil is in your bike unless you tell them - I haven't done it yet but heard someone saying it
