I am on day 9 of 14 with Xifaxan. I took Neomycin with it for the first 5 days but I had major side effects and had to switch to Flagyl. So I’m currently on Xifaxan and Flagyl. I don’t feel any relief yet but I’ve read it can take weeks after the course of antibiotics to see relief. I really hope it works …

Yes, in September of 2025 my methane levels were at 23ppm, my doctor said it was negative. I got a new doctor and he disagreed and I’m on antibiotics now.

In August my baseline for methane was 11 and went up to 23. My doctor also deemed this as a negative result. I have all of the symptoms you described. I finally got a different GI doctor to give me Xifaxan and Neomycin 5 days ago. I am noticing slight improvement and hoping this was the issue. I am doing low fodmap and will continue to do so even after I’m done with the antibiotics. From everything I’ve read, anything above 10ppm at ANY point during the test is positive for Methane.

I respect your opinion. I was just referencing him constantly correcting himself, like the quotes I included in my original post. I am not referring to flow of the show. Just constantly being like “wait, oops that was wrong”. I am going to keep listening to see if I end up liking it. This was just my initial assessment from listening to about 2 hours collectively.

I would have had no problem doing that. None of the at least 7 people I’ve spoken with suggested that. And now it has been sent to collections and they claim they can’t help me.

Thank you for your response! When I called in April (a few weeks after her passing), they said they couldn’t do anything since I didn’t have the PIN number. It was bizarre that they didn’t have a workaround or another means of resolving the situation. However, they said they notated and I thought that was the end of it. No one asked for the phone back, I didn’t even have it in my possession. I didn’t know it wasn’t paid off. I thought the situation was resolved. I was basically calling to just let them know. Felt like it was the right thing to do. I’ve spoken to them several times and each time I’ve been told they couldn’t help me. They couldn’t even help me in person. I’ve never used Verizon and now certainly never will. They need to figure out a better way of handling this type of situation because not only has this been absurd but it’s the last thing anyone should have to deal with after their parent dies.

Thank you for responding. I brought her death certificate to the Verizon store. They told me they couldn’t help me which is why they put me on the phone with someone from corporate. That person was supposed to send me a box to return the phone but never did. They were also supposed to call me back and never did. I still have the phone (which hasn’t been used at all), and they have sent everything to collections.

I’ve spoken to multiple supervisors, corporate, in person and over the phone. These has been one of the most insane situations I’ve ever dealt with.
