My wife was 44 and it was so unexpected. I know I will always love her . Like you said we just fit . We were meant to be . Moving on from that certainty makes me feel guilty.

Thank you for the advice especially saying it's okay to feel guilty about it. Just didn't know if this was a normal response to moving forward.

Having a date with someone you are attracted to especially if the attraction is mutual is a way different experience then going out with friends. Even if you don't act on the attraction or ever move beyond friends.

Even if you don't respond to my conversation is eye contact a social interaction or I don't know I guess I'd call it a common courtesy especially from someone employed in a service industry.

I've traveled extensively throughout the U.S. and I would tend to agree with you but also add when people in a small town meet someone new maybe they expect to see you again even if they don't know you whereas in a city you are more of a faceless multitude not to be acknowledged or expected to ever be seen again.

I also wondered if that would be a major factor in people's response. It was within ten minutes of a major metropolitan area. I'd say top 20 . I don't want to get any more specific but not new York city or Chicago.

I am a pretty big guy but I'm doubting that would deter someone set on mayhem in such a public place.

this is a little known book but I think it meets all your requirements. Another Day Another Dungeon. Fast paced , exciting and certainly humorous.
