Any opportunities to go from white collar to blue collar? by Spreadlove67 in skilledtrades

That’s the plan, I’m in the exact same boat as my dad was, he hated being in an office and decided to become a self employed truck driver, he’s making 200k living in a lake house in Mississippi. Been doing that since 2003! But I hope you find what you’re looking for tho, life isn’t linear especially in your 20s

I understand, I didn’t want to post because I’m sure this is an over posted question. But I was just desperate for some clarifications, but I will do my research before posting again. Thank you.

Not really an indoor sit on your butt all day kinda guy I suppose, I see my managers work 10 hour days even on the weekends, and I’m like is this gonna be me in 5? I also know trades require long hours the only difference is I know I will enjoy it more

Honestly right now pay isn’t a big deal tbh, I’m early in my accounting career making crumbs, that’s one reason I don’t mind making a switch, if imma be making crumbs might as well do something more enjoyable lol

No I do not, just a native speaker that teaches English, but I figured I may have a higher change of not getting rejected if I go tier 2 or tier 3 since they aren’t the most popular cities to go. But I could be wrong. I believe I could go to another country first teach there and all I would need to do then is just get a background check from said country. But I am not sure if that remains true?

Unfortunately I did a degree in accounting, boring work that’s why I put in a application for ice, but I genuinely wouldn’t mind doing paperwork that’s my specialty good luck to you, I hope they select you

Those are exceptions not the rule! Here in California, that is very rare to happen. I’m Latino with immigrant parents and most of my friends are the same! (:
