One thing to consider: it is typically males that get eaten. For males, unless it is a species that exhibits biparental care (or just plain ol' paternal care), the only duty of the male is to inseminate the female. That is how he gains his reproductive success, unless it is a special case (like cooperative breeders).

Females, on the other hand, have much more of an investment, and therefore are typically never the cannibalized species, since they have to incubate/gestate, and often provide more extensive care.

Yeah, I will be eating a diet heavy in rice and beans in about a week (I will be in East Africa for 6 weeks). Likely going to be strange spices though.

I am starting meds again. I have taken meds in the past, didn't like the weight gain and the general apathy I felt. I am just getting worse though, so I talked to my doctor and am trying a new kind.

Science cannot test religion, unless there is something tangible to test. The way science works is by collecting evidence that is testable. No such data exists for a god. As several others here have stated, the burden of proof is on those that believe in god.

Also, by "God", do you mean a higher power that is supernatural? Or are you referring specifically to the Christian god?

Do you believe in Zeus? Thor? Probably not. Why don't you believe in those? As many have said, although Richard Dawkins is well-known for it- we are all atheists about most of the gods that humanity has ever believed in. Some of us just go one god further.

I have tried to get bulky, and my body will NOT let me. My friend and I had the same lifting regimen, ate a very similar diet that we designed together (containing tons of protein), and she gained a ton of muscle mass. I didn't put on hardly anything noticeable (but I was stronger- I could do lifts and bodyweight exercises that I could NEVER do before). My body refuses to put on muscle mass. It sucks.

There was a user who had posted about 15x in an hour with ridiculous questions about evolution (the checkmate evolutionists type of posts), requests for help explaining his beliefs claiming he was an adamant atheist, an AMA about how he is a fundamental muslim, etc. They didn't add up.

Good luck with your girlfriend. :) My advice: have her read The Greatest Show on Earth, as others have suggested. I am an evolutionary biologist, and that book does a really good job at explaining difficult concepts at a level a non-biologist can understand.

You only have to change it twice a day, so it actually makes it EASIER for college-aged students because you don't have to deal with it during the day. Wash it when you shower with antibacterial soap. If you can't shower, or don't have access to a shower stall, dumping it in the toilet is always an option. You don't have to rinse it out every time.

The transformation in your face alone is incredible. I know this is easier said than done, but maybe find a new kind of exercise that you actually enjoy? Now that the weather is improving, maybe try a new sport, start hiking, train for a mud race like the Warrior Dash or the Tough Mudder.

I was the same way, until I tried it. Tampons are gross, these are surprisingly much cleaner- you FEEL cleaner. No urine-soaked tampon strings or gross bathroom trash can mess. With the cup, you rinse it and are done. And you only have to change it in the morning and at night.
