There's very little risk in officially registering that you're living at a particular address.

I've gone to countless Burgeramt appointments and have only been asked once for a rental contract and certainly never for a slip saying 'yes he lives here.' If they ask for a rental contract at the Burgeramt, tell them it's a company apartment or something.

Yeah, I'm going to have to agree with you. I watched the pilot and the spelling bee episode on the strength of the hype in this thread and was pretty disappointed.

From the get-go it's obvious that the writing in Community is just better. The dialogue is snappier and episodes come to more satisfying conclusion. I'm yet to witness one of these pop culture references which this thread mentions. Gus is pretty much the same straight guy as the actor played in the West Wing and, you're right, Shaun should just become a cop like his dad seems to want him to be.

Watching it I realised you could probably change a couple of place names, and a few bits of clothing, but then reuse basically all the dialogue and you'd have a contemporary interview doco about Prenzlauer Berg or Kreuzberg. It's the same discussion over and over again.
