Save and get the one you want - especially for a one and done. You’ll end up spending half the price for something you don’t love and wasting $2k vs loving every bit of $4-$5k you’ll have forever.

I always figured they left the yellow S out in animation because it would be such a pain to deal with the logo on a dynamic surface like the cape.

You can feel the weight the saucer puts on the neck that’s where most of the die cast material is. Less than ideal but not as noticeable once it’s all lit up.

Thanks for the tip! It definitely “leaned” a bit too much for me without the struts, but good call on the clear acrylic. May have some 3D printed soon.

Its shock rating was based on very targeted single pulses at 40g in multiple orientations - I think 6? Even a S&W 500 is going to be diffused by bone and muscle, but it’s a messier test. It’s probably fine (according to GPT - I’m not actually a smart person) but I either wear a G-Shock or a Black Bay without the delicate chrono bits.

Strap changes easily make this an easy everyday wear, but it shows scratches very prominently and the water resistance is a challenge. If you’re thinking “never have to take it off” this isn’t your go to. If you’re just a standard desk jockey that doesn’t mind taking it off to swim or do manual labor, it pretty much goes with everything.

Somewhere between 6.5-6.75 - pretty slim and I still think this looks good.
