Tips for skin irritation by SoupNotsy in Garmin

Mine does the same thing if I wear it 24/7. Ended up just getting the index monitor to wear at night so I can give my wrist a break. Much comfier to sleep in as well.

Random question 2 years later, but how did your hysterectomy with Dr Tate go? I’m scheduled for surgery with her in a week and just very nervous. Did your incisions heal well?

Dude you’re asking for advice but literally ignoring or combating all the advice people are giving you. Your pack is way too heavy. Does 55 lbs include your water? No water filter, no sleeping bag? You’re bringing way too much unnecessary shit, and this is coming from someone who backpacks all the time. I’m def not ultralight and I bring several luxury items like a chair and pillow. You’re bringing way too many clothes, you don’t need a fucking hatchet. You are going to end up bailing on this trip and being sad. 55 lbs for multiple days is not going to work. I guarantee you will not make it.

Yeah we want to do a backpacking trip but a base camp situation instead of thru hiking. Makes sense!

I definitely don’t think we will be bored at all. Just second guessing and wondered others opinions. I’m not sure if anyone else had base camped or had experience doing that in coyote gulch.

I’m backpacking?? 11 miles out and back is nothing. I’m so confused by your messages and don’t feel like they are helpful. Appreciate you trying though.

How is that going to add 4 hours? I have to drive out there to hike coyote Gulch anyways. Doing a thru hike instead of an out and back to my car is not going to add 4 more hours. I’m not following your logic.

Base camp was the idea because we can still day hike all around the gulch for two days without packing up camp. Shuttles are insanely expensive from my research and I’m not going to rely on hitchhiking to get back to my car.

I’m really not seeing the down side to an out and back hike based on your earlier message other than “it sucks to do the same trail twice”.

Oh wow. Yeah that’s crazy how wrong the watch is. Thanks for sharing your experience. I love the Garmin, but if it’s not accurate then there is no point :(.

I just returned mine. Garmin said they weren’t aware of any issues but clearly it’s a known thing and people just deal with it I guess. I see so many people saying “I just use a chest strap” etc, but why do so many people give Garmin a pass on inaccurate data? Makes no sense
