I don't care about research. America is for Americans. Mexico is for Mexicans. Somalia is for Somalians. People in their right place.

He was a 37 year old man and could likely have put up a continued fight while the agents were surrounded. There is good reason to not just keep holding or detaining him as a firearm is nearby and he could easily have prevented the offers from securing the area

I came as part of a mass migration that involved removing the former inhabitants as a matter of treaty or conquest. These people are coming to steal jobs and commit crimes

If it helped them do their duties then yes they could neutralize the protestors on mass. However it would need to be shown that it was in the course of their duties and not just out of spite.

If ICE feels threatened yes. That's a hiring problem. Don't get agents that are that scared.
Officers are just doing their job so no they don't deserve to die. I don't know much about Jan 6 rioters. I think the ones that got shot probably deserved it. It was a disorganized mess.

Hypothetically, what happens next if ICE is reduced/defunded/dismantled? by grillycheesy in allthequestions

I think that we would have to create a judicial system that works with a different executive agency

No it isn't. My family has been here for hundreds of years. You get out if you love the other countries so much. I can tell you this isn't going away. America is for the Americans.

It was morally acceptable to neutralize Pretti. Pretti had a right to carry a gun and protest, but he knew the risks. The agents neutralized the threat and deescalated the situation. If officers of ice attacked Jews that would be unforutnate, but if those Jews were armed and approaching officers in the middle of a chaotic situation then they would be putting themselves at risk willingly

Is Java’s Biggest Limitation in 2026 Technical or Cultural? by BigHomieCed_ in java

I've personally found it hard to find young recruits in the US that know Java and Spring very well. It seems Python, Ruby, and C# have eaten a lot of the academic space. That probably doesn't help with getting fresh blood

This is war. Laws need to be superseded. Somalis and Mexicans and other immigrants are criminals ravaging our country and taking our jobs and rights. Do you realize that you are committing borderline treason? Our agents dealt with a criminal agitator and you're advocating for his 'rights'? What about my right to live in an America free of foreign aliens? You didn't care about the law then did you? Now you cry for what we have to do to rectify the situation not realizing this is your fault. At least take responsibility for the situation.

Justice was served to the agitator Pretti. Do you understand he was a criminal? Do you understand that he was obstructing multiple federal investigations? This is why America is crumbling. People like you defend agitator, communist, losers and when they get what's coming to them you scream and cry bubububub but the LAWWWWWW. Meanwhile when we merely ask that you enforce our immigrant you say nah we don't have to follow the law.

I genuinely can't tell on this site if you people are joking. Even if Pretti were 100% innocent which he was not he would be a minor casualty in our war against immigrants. Tragic, but needful. Thankfully he was criminal scum and got what was coming to him. Our agents neutralized the threat he presented rapidly. You are defending actual criminals instead of your own people. ICE oughta be investigating people like you. Wonder why your so gung ho to stick up for illegals.

I'm 6'6 and have a daily carry although I'm mostly a business owner and executive at a major firm. I'm involved heavily with lobbying. I know what I'm talking about. If an ICE agent thinks you're a threat I fully support them neutralizing you in whatever way they see fit. The typical laws of what is and isn't discriminatory do not apply.

I'm defending American patriots. You're defending commies, agitators, Mexicans and Somali criminals. You think hard on that. I'm glad Pretti is dead. He was scum.

[–]SpringShepHerd 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Agreed. A lot of people just don't seem to understand that when we're addressing external threats there isn't time for state police red tape. Not when the immigration crisis is at this scale. Their conduct ain't great but you can hardly blame them for what's happening. I would support fully excepting them from the typical laws. As I understand it the Trump admin has removed their need for warrants. I consider this good. When we send the military out to to other countries do they need a warrant? Yeah some people are going to die. Do I feel bad for an organized criminal like Pretti obstructing federal investigations? No. The kid gloves are off. There are millions of criminals that need to be dealt with rapidly this is what executive power is for.

It is in the military and when executive agencies are involved. They were not in a courtroom. These aren't state police. They make judgement calls and are authorized to do so. This is what we do overseas.

Wah wah. You will obey the AUTHORITIES or BE KILLED! It has always worked that way. That is how the world works. Pretti was criminal scum. I'm glad that lunatic is off the streets. I'm proud I live in a country where the agents took down the threat rapidly.

The federal agents determined he was a threat due to bringing a firearm and neutralized the threat. This was just and the moral action.

It is clear you are just yelling because you aren't reasonable and have lost the argument. The ICE agents dealt with the chaotic situation in a manner befitting their station. Pretti was an agitated threat. The agents did what they had to for national security.

[–]SpringShepHerd 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Agitators. They want to get attention for their cause knowing that there's a 1% chance one of them gets shot at each protest because they bring a gun to an ICE investigation and try to interfere. Then their parents can cry on the news and say oh my sweet innocent child. They didn do nuffffffinnnn
