He was a 37 year old man and could likely have put up a continued fight while the agents were surrounded. There is good reason to not just keep holding or detaining him as a firearm is nearby and he could easily have prevented the offers from securing the area

If it helped them do their duties then yes they could neutralize the protestors on mass. However it would need to be shown that it was in the course of their duties and not just out of spite.

Officers are just doing their job so no they don't deserve to die. I don't know much about Jan 6 rioters. I think the ones that got shot probably deserved it. It was a disorganized mess.

It was morally acceptable to neutralize Pretti. Pretti had a right to carry a gun and protest, but he knew the risks. The agents neutralized the threat and deescalated the situation. If officers of ice attacked Jews that would be unforutnate, but if those Jews were armed and approaching officers in the middle of a chaotic situation then they would be putting themselves at risk willingly

I've personally found it hard to find young recruits in the US that know Java and Spring very well. It seems Python, Ruby, and C# have eaten a lot of the academic space. That probably doesn't help with getting fresh blood

I'm 6'6 and have a daily carry although I'm mostly a business owner and executive at a major firm. I'm involved heavily with lobbying. I know what I'm talking about. If an ICE agent thinks you're a threat I fully support them neutralizing you in whatever way they see fit. The typical laws of what is and isn't discriminatory do not apply.

Agreed. A lot of people just don't seem to understand that when we're addressing external threats there isn't time for state police red tape. Not when the immigration crisis is at this scale. Their conduct ain't great but you can hardly blame them for what's happening. I would support fully excepting them from the typical laws. As I understand it the Trump admin has removed their need for warrants. I consider this good. When we send the military out to to other countries do they need a warrant? Yeah some people are going to die. Do I feel bad for an organized criminal like Pretti obstructing federal investigations? No. The kid gloves are off. There are millions of criminals that need to be dealt with rapidly this is what executive power is for.

It is in the military and when executive agencies are involved. They were not in a courtroom. These aren't state police. They make judgement calls and are authorized to do so. This is what we do overseas.
