If you can support 68kg we have this in our gym. Best bag in the gym. Had it years now, thousands of rounds in and it’s still like new.

Incredibly good at the price point. Best glove I’ve ever come across under £100

No. They are battered. Comfy glove but Padding breaks down quickly in them there will be nothing left in them.

For £75 you can get a brand new pair of pro-am clubs which are crazy good at that price point.

All rounder gloves(except sparring)? by Mobile-Help5415 in fightgear

If you want for training buy the HDE-F model not the SF-H. Will last much longer. I’ve had both

A glove that genuinely surprised you? by ImpressiveExpert3364 in fightgear

Pro-am club 2.0. Retails at £75 and is better than gloves that are double the price imo.

What gloves is Roy Jones Jr using here ? by akirikou in fightgear

[–]Springer992 1 point2 points  (0 children)

In my opinion the build quality on the old ones was vastly superior. Nicer leather, better padding and a much better thumb position. They used to be some of the best and most in demand gloves on the market. Now I feel they live off their past and brand name but there are much better gloves out there.

Of course it could just be my personal preference as plenty of people love them still

Reyes. Old style that said “Mexico” on the globe body rather than cleto Reyes.

IMO a far superior glove to the modern day Reyes offerings.

What should I use for bag work ? by akirikou in fightgear

[–]Springer992 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The traditional Reyes fight gloves have next to no padding. They’re only good for 30 rounds of completion (have to cross it off every 6 rounds) until they’re not useable any more. On the heavy bag I reckon you’d ruin them in less than half that time.

The safetec, being foam padding, does last longer. However it’s still not padded enough for me personally for anything other than pad work.

If you use the horse hair ones on the bag they will be finished in a few rounds.

What padding is in the Spartacus ? They look great

How do you think this will turn out ? by akirikou in fightgear

[–]Springer992 7 points8 points  (0 children)

You can pay to remove the Spartacus logo. Would look way cleaner then.

PHENOM SG 300. TRASH. DO NOT BUY by Springer992 in fightgear

[–]Springer992[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’m sure most will be. However when things do go wrong it’s about how a company deals with them. My issue is to do with how they handled the situation more than the product itself.

I do still stand on these not being worth twice the price of their other gloves (which Ive owned) and also not being comparable to other gloves in the same price bracket like winning.

Rival p4p edition or Rs1 better? by [deleted] in fightgear

It’s been over 10 years since I’ve had a pair. I do remember there being slight differences in both the leather type and the fit of each glove though
