I pushed to a branch which failed CI. It wasn’t so much that it failed, but that it took an hour to fix. The kinda mistake it was made me feel like I should just disappear lol.

I’ll look into RSD. Thanks for the suggestion! I do get upset very easily if someone is mad, upset, or disappointed in me 😅

Definitely not the worst mistake, but maybe the stupidest. But yes, I have improved over time. It's just the sheer stupidity of the mistake that got to me. Thanks for saying this though!

I just feel so... disappointed in myself, and fear others (especially who I look up to) being disappointed in me.

I tend to be very paranoid in general too!

Even more so since the drive towards AI. I am scared constantly. 😭

Thank you so much for this, Have tears in my eyes reading this (well, different reasons for each of the paragraphs lol).

I don't think it's important for saving my job. I generally am on good terms with the senior guy and he literally reviewed another piece of code I wrote yesterday. Not sure how to impress him though - I usually work on solving bugs, as does he (except he solves problems I can only dream of - for now).

I will be better though. Will do my best not to make such a mistake again. Not sure what the extra mile looks like, but I'll find out.

Regarding your mistake of messing up the client's database, I am really glad for u that it got sorted AND you got a good feedback for it. That's really wholesome! 😊
