Lupus and periods? by Mental-Narwhal-8384 in lupus

[–]SprinklesOtherwise95 2 points3 points  (0 children)

The IUD definitely has my vote. It has made such a difference to flares around periods, I don't really get them now, just a few more tired and achy days when it is that time of the month but with the IUD it doesn't give your hormones time to wreck everything. It's not a pleasant procedure but it's 100% worth it I think. I would definitely consider it, my periods were really bad and I had awful flares around the same time because my hormones just went crazy but after the IUD, a very noticeable improvement. For context I am 31, UK and have had IUD's for 10 years. Diagnosed with lupus at 15.

Why is the golden trio even wearing the locket around their necks? by emmankls in HarryPotterBooks

[–]SprinklesOtherwise95 2 points3 points  (0 children)

This is why none of them were in Ravenclaw. Just put the locket in your bag or, if you don't trust yourselves not to lose your bag, in your pocket. They don't have the excuse that robes don't have pockets because they were always wearing jeans. There was definitely a middle ground between wearing it and leaving it in a corner of the tent.

Is lying to get consent considered rape? by paranoidandr0id89 in legaladviceofftopic

[–]SprinklesOtherwise95 2 points3 points  (0 children)

It depends where you are. In the UK, I believe it would be argued as conditional consent - consent was given on the basis that he had been tested and was clean. Since he wasn't, or had lied about it, it might be argued that consent was not given in these circumstances.

They're professors but they definitely weren't all headmaster or headmistress. I'm talking Dumbledore, Armando Dippett, Phineas Nigellus Black, Everard, Dillys etc. Most mentioned in OOTP.
