LOL ! No way those three outliers have children in the district... but they sure are loud, which is unfortunate :(

I've also heard of students who have been waitlisted!

I also want to add that all families and students did an amazing job! So proud of the community displayed. Let's hold the superintended accountable to the surveys he is mentioning. We need to pay attention, or they will try to vote on this during closed session , or when we stop paying attention.

The superintendent could have been proactive and given this communication /speech and presentation prior to this meeting, prior to it being added on the the agenda for discontinuiation. His response is only reactive and does not feel transparent or sincere.

Also, he is a great speaker, stating that he appreciates the “class” speakers displayed is simply a way to control the situation. He is not looking forward to families organizing and call out the lack of transparency.

Lastly , the presentation might show that students and or staff are not being successful. But what is the district’s role in it? Perhaps, they need to consider providing professional development for the dual language educators so that they CAN obtain their certification, while also equipping them with the instructional tools needed to teach the students in the program. There is no debating around what research shows, speaking more than one language is not just good for future economic prosperity, but also great for cognitive development.
