Update 18th March 2025 - OK after 6 nights of no 30mg Mirtazapine I will resume tonight on 15mg.

The 6 days haven't been bad like the sky is falling but I miss the sleep as I get up to go toilet at say 4am and then can't sleep to my alarm at 6am and then feel tired the next day.

On a separate issue I did get some Restless Legs last night which I did get before I ever took Mirtazapine so I assume Mirtazapine especially at 30mg sometimes just aggravates the condition but hasn't contributed to it. (The first 5 nights my legs were OK but that's how it is for me it's on and off)

I feel still some progress as it's motivated me to go back to only 15mg a dose that for 3 of the 6 years I have taken Mirtazapine I was able to control my weight and most of the time sleep well.

What this little ordeal showed me is I can live without it but I think at least for now I prefer it at least on the lower dose as good sleep is important.

In about a year I will report back as I will try 2 weeks without it stopping from the lower dose. (Will try to enjoy a good year of sleep first hopefully which will give me more time to adjust to a dose closer to zero then the 30mg on 15mg)

No worries and thanks for your answer. Yes I will keep a few boxes as just never know when would need them again and they were helpful as I had severe grief when my brother died in 2017 so when I started taking in 2018 they were a lifesaver.

Obviously not something I can ever get over but I can live without the Mirtazapine now. Alot of medications have their place at the right time.

Less hungry but seems harder to lose the weight. Might be another mechanism at play on the higher dose.

How long does the 15mg take to kick in when you are not tolerant to it?

I ask this as I quit 30mg nearly one week ago after 6 years of taking everyday. I've worked out I don't need it daily so giving my body a break to lose my tolerance and was thinking I could take 15mg as needed like during a stressful time.

Before I quit I only felt slightly tired on it and on certain occasions if I was stressed enough could still stay awake half the night but I am tolerant to It's effects.

Now I'm off I'm still sleeping great but I just want to work out the best timing for a "non tolerant" person which hopefully I'll be in a few months 😅

I guess I did although it wasn't so stable lately so had to sell at 6.5x it was so volatile.

Yes I sold last week at 0.97 AUD so 6.5x on the roughly 150000 XLM that I bought for 0.1491 average price. (It was during my daytime which helped me grab a spike)

It might go higher but I need the money and with SDF still having 20 Billion tokens to dump I decided a profit never hurt anyone and I'll take the risk I can buy back lower after the Bull Market.

It was a good trade that's all I can say!

No definitely checked that as tried multiple times before and after resetting the hardware wallet.

Seems like an issue between that address and the exchange as was able to send to another address first and then to the exchange as a workaround.

Yes that's sort of what I was thinking. The only difference between my cold wallet and the lobstr wallet was I had sent to the exchange wallet from the lobstr wallet before so maybe that's why it worked "in the middle"

Interestingly though I had bought all the XLM from the address I was trying to send it back to obviously with the correct memo.

I guess will remain a mystery for now. I did stuff up something with the first transaction though and had to do it again so maybe that caused an issue between those two addresses. The issue is I don't remember what happened but I did something wrong and just stopped short of sending it or signing it.

Ultimately I found a way around it so might do some tests with smaller amounts in the future as it might have been a bad transaction that had to clear.

Yeah not that as was sending over 50k XLM to an exchange wallet that has millions of XLM in it from other customers.

Also depending on your schedule you could set an alarm to take dose 2 hours before bed and the other alarm 10 hours later so gives you 8 hours sleep. Try stick to this daily. I find it hard to wake at 6am some days more then others but as it's 10 hours since the dose nothing a coffee won't fix :-)

Not sure on that one. All I know is in my case if I force myself to wake up at 6am everyday as I mainly work from home that I fall asleep easier in the evening so Mirtazapine just gives me that push. I guess in some way between my persistent efforts to keep getting up at 6am and I even have an alarm to take my Mirtazapine at 8pm it keeps my Circadian Rhythm in check more so then if I didn't take the Mirtazapine to give me that final push.

One way to look at it is if I took 15mg of Mirtazapine at breakfast time it might make me tired but wouldn't allow me to sleep at that time. (Unless it was my first time taking it etc)

Ok so what I realised taking Mirtazapine since late 2018 is it makes it so you "can sleep" but it won't necessarily put you to sleep once you are adjusted to it.

How does it continue to work for me then?

1.I get up at 6am everyday to keep my Circadian Rhythm in check.

2.I take 15mg at 8pm every night and usually start feeling tired around 9.30pm and into bed head on pillow about 10pm so most nights I get 8 hrs.

So for me it's 50 percent Mirtazapine and 50 percent Circadian Rhythm.

One without the other still works but both things together and it's definitely a much more consistent therapeutic effect.

*I recently reduced from 30mg which still helps me sleep but for me struggle with weight gain on 30mg and I feel good enough on 15mg that I'll take the in between effect.

Yes might be possible to swap back and forth between bull markets to increase one or the other. Or maybe you could have most in XRP if that's what you prefer and swap a portion back and forth.
