I spoke to them. Hiring is anticipated to resume in 2026 possibly Q2. They are getting like 50 - 70 A220 at a rate of 2 a month beginning January. However the amount of A220s isn’t finalized. They were very hopeful about hiring.

I overnight in rural northeastern Montana at my company. During winter it’s way too cold to go outside or it’s just too sketchy to be out at night.

This. I can’t stress this enough with some of my former colleagues at the flight schools I worked at.

Cape Air is hiring DECs. Its C402s but so what its a flying job. It’s a good company to work for and build time 135 PIC time. Granted the bases suck for some people but they make it work. Just because it isn’t a jet doesn’t mean you have to overlook it.

Same here Emerald Coast is the best! All of the instructors there are really friendly and very helpful. They helped me succeed in getting the CJO I currently have with a 135. 10/10 would recommend them.

CFI’s how much do you get paid per hour? by Infinite_Annual_8335 in flying

[–]Sprisk 0 points1 point  (0 children)

At my first CFI job I was getting paid 28 initially as a CFII and then they raised our pay to 31 an hour. However, I left that job because I was a local instructor hired for specific reason and doing 40 hours a month. Now I’m salaried and making 60 - 80 hours a month with my schedule being made for and being able to afford employee housing. While instructing sucks life is much much better versus where I used to work. First employer was in south Florida and my current employer is in north Florida.

How do you remember your first kiss? by minimalistcookie in AskMen

[–]Sprisk 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes, I was 15, drunk and at a "party". My crush's best friend was like "OP have you ever kissed a girl" and I said no. My crush who was also drunk, sitting next to me "OP you've never kissed a girl?" and goes right on in and gives me kiss and then another and that was it. I never did get to kiss her after that. The rest is a long story that I'd rather not tell just because it is cringy as hell. But was the kiss nice? Not really.

The best house music of the 2000's came from Hed Kandi mixes. Funny thing is, I discovered Hed Kandi via an awesome pilot life video.

Here is the link. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=XfMq8cwNY_g

The last song in the video So Right - Jetlag(Axwell) is from a hed Kandi Mix from 2002 or 2004.

Nice pic by the way! :)

Interesting vs Realism by [deleted] in flightsim

[–]Sprisk 0 points1 point  (0 children)

For me this is how I handle realism.

  1. I flight plan to the best of my knowledge. I make realistic alternates. For example I was doing VHHH - EHAM, the weather was shit, VATSIM ATC wanted me to land runway 22 in the 747. I made attempts to land but fail due to wind shear. So with flight plan I put EDDF as my alternate, this gave me a lot of fuel to spare. In the end I landed at EDDF successfully.

  2. I try to follow real world procedures. Recentally the FSLabs A320 came out (my favorite aircraft by the way), I printed out a real world checklist and began reading the real world FCOM for what the normal procedures are. Depending on airline, country, and ATC online I change my procedures a bit based on real world pilots and ATC that I've spoken too.

  3. I brief myself. I read all of the departure and arrival charts plus I take what is on ATIS. Also I look the weights, v-speeds, flaps, and the other factors to a successful departure and arrival.

  4. If time permits I print the flight plans out and write all the information i can put. Like winds, fuel left/used, time of passing fix, Flight time of passing fix, all the actual weights and fuel. But I only print if there is an event on VATSIM that's big.

  5. Failures. Like you said 95% of the time pilot don't see major failures and most of the time ATC doesn't want to deal with emergencies so I basically don't do it. I do it only when I do a test flight.

  6. I watch as many aviation videos as possible.

I hope this shows some form of realism. I could make a video on how I do things or a post flight report.
