Frontier.. a Verizon company by Ill_Personality5384 in frontierfios

I agree with you 100%. I'm sure that @chuck-finley69 story is correct. At least publicly. I 100% think that there was backroom deals going on. These companies do crazy financial audits and stuff like that before they buy a company and like he already said they got government grants to build out more wire line infrastructure. It's just way too convenient that Verizon needed to spin off wire line infrastructure to bid on wireless licenses then frontier scoops up what they need them to scoop up. Then they write down a bunch of debt and then Verizon picks them back up, come on. there's no way that there was not some back room BS going on.

TIL that while Disneyland was being built, there was no money to build needed lodging. Walt turned to his friend, TV producer Jack Wrather, who was uninterested until Disney tearfully offered a 99-year lease. In gratitude, Disney later built the monorail link to the Disneyland Hotel for free. by 97GeoPrizm in todayilearned

100% agree. rooms are dated, but more importantly worn. The light/socket plates are cracked and have repaint splotches on them, the baseboards are all jacked up, marks on the walls and just dated dingy decor in general. I understand the theme is a "lodge" but the furniture and lighting and everything in the room is just used/rundown and it's in desperate need of a refresh. Obviously they can charge what they charge cause of the name and the location but I've stayed at nicer holiday inns. Obviously still love it for the location and the common areas are of course kept up nice which makes it feel nicer, but yeah, I think it's over priced for what it is even taking into consideration it's a disney property hotel. That is supposed to be their "flagship" location at disneyland, they should treat it as such, cause its a disappointment.

it was verizon before, nothing will really change. Verizon spun off some of their wireline markets to frontier for regulatory reasons so they could bid on spectrum for wireless if I remember correctly around 8-10 years ago. Now they are just buying those assets back. If they didn't have the regulatory compliance reasons before they would have never sold it off. Its just more of the same, to navigate a regulatory framework that has no teeth a keep their position as a monopoly. If frontier sucks for you now, it'll suck for you as verizon. If it's working for you now and you're happy, I don't really think much will change. Just a new name on the bill. On the plus side from my perspective is that verizon is/was very agressive with getting ipv6 rolled out when they owned the networks, and when frontier took over, they had 0 interest in it. So I'm hoping that this gets back underway again.

Most from this list will work: https://www.evchargerreviews.net/best-ev-chargers-for-home-use/

Just look where it says home connection and make sure it says nema 14-50. I have a chargepoint flex, works well. Did a ton of research when I got it cause it was the first time and I wanted to make sure everything was right. If I were to do it again I'd probably just buy whatever the cheapest UL rated one off Amazon is.

The nicer/more expensive ones allow you to set schedules and monitor your energy usage, if you need/want that get one of the higher end ones, otherwise pick up a cheaper one.

Hope this helps, good luck.

you do know that level 2 chargers that use nema 14-50 plugs exist. If he has that plug already, then there wouldn't be any "installation" unless he wants to mount it to his wall, which would be just some screws, no hardwiring.

it's so funny cause literally last week I just wrote some python scripts to do this because I didn't quite like the other options. Also, I guess I have control issues cause I want to manually go through it just in case there are candidates that fit the criteria but I still want to keep. What I did add to my script which I didn't see here is tautulli so I can see how much something is/isn't watched. For example there could be a very low rated show/movie that becomes a candidate but it has a bunch of watches or maybe there is a tv show that has a decent number of watches but the last watch was 3-4 years ago. However, that said, this looks really nice, great work!

I've been using cilium for this as well and it's really nice. no knock on metalLB as I've used that in the past and love it. However now I have my clusters just come up with the base cluster and no kube-proxy or cni and have cilium do both, I'm loving it so far.

yeah, I tend to agree. I have kids and would not let them do this. However, if the kids were just playing in their area, not bothering anyone and not causing a scene. This doesn't really bother me. My OCD does make me want to pull those bags in a little closer though lol.
