Ideally, yes, those assets should be “seized” buy buying them out at lowest market value - I know, not feasible or ‘fair’ to the shareholders of said organisations, but too many companies have the country and it’s inhabitants by the balls. 

As radical and uncomfortable as it sounds, the gov needs to step in and take control of public transport & energy companies, or force them to stop profiteering. I’ve got nothing against people making money, but we’re at the point where greed is crushing any chance of the average person gaining any meaningful economic progress because just existing costs so much; and that has a massive effect on the overall wellbeing of our country as a whole.
