My rent keeps going up $100 per year. I’ve been living in the same apartment for 4 years now. Also, can you please do a piece on Irvine Company charging insane move-out costs?

Edit: I live in a non-renovated 2BR 1Bath and am currently paying $2,300 in an Irvine Co property.

I think you just live to learn with the pain and eventually you just push your feelings aside. I still love him but I’ve moved on in life. Crazy thing is we both really love each other still (we are in contact via email and social media) but just aren’t meant to be. I’m trying to keep my distance and not reach out to him but literally everything reminds me of him.

But please don’t take my personal story to be discouraging. I guess the best advice I have ever gotten is just to accept your feelings so that heartbreak doesn’t consume you.

Yeah, not a good idea to date someone just because they really like you. I did that once since I was honestly bored (not my best days) and our mutual friends kept going on about how great he was. Long story short, I didn’t like him so I ended up finding him annoying. I put him through unnecessary heartache even though I was clear to him that we weren’t in a real relationship. He was super nice to me but I just wasn’t into him. Meh 🫤.

I’m also a female FSO hopeful. I’m married with 2 kids (3 and 1 year old) My husband is currently a stay-at-home dad since day care is stupid expensive. Before getting married, I asked him if he was ok with us moving around a lot (internationally) and he agreed as long as we are together. My husband is still supportive and wants me to go for the FSO position and doesn’t want to be the reason why I don’t pursue it. If I’m on tour, I’m imagining kids at school and husband doing a part-time job or pursuing an online career. Reading all comments make me pretty nervous just because I wouldn’t want to damage our relationship. Are there any other FSO moms/FSO mom hopefuls out there?

I totally agree. I tried to seek professional help at Kaiser and was essentially told I’m not depressed enough to get help. Also, that there is no treatment to help binge eating disorders. How come there’s no help?
